God of War III !!!

This thread kinda personifies everything I dislike about this site...sad times...

why? Is it because people are voting for God of War 3. I admit though this one was too cheap.

Resistance was a good game but it didn't give me the same impact Gears of War did. The SP for Gears of War was just plain great and the online was pretty good too. Although Resistance did have a fairly good MP and a good co-op it didn't feel so much different from a regular sc-fi FPS. So the winner for me is Gears of War hands down.

Never played Resistance, but I'm I'm largely confident that it couldn't be that much better than R2, so my vote goes to Gears.

Wow at GoW3 vs Fable 3 - talk about a lamb to slaughter.

Gears vs Resistance is a tough one for me. Gears technically - i.e. level design, polish, etc. - is definitely the better game, but I really dislike its vibe and central character in the SP (although the gameplay is good enough for me to get by that in terms of playing it).

Resistance though I liked the SP in an old school way - health packs! Lot's of weapons. I also preferred the alternative history England setting in Resistance and liked some of the huge maps it featured. Hale was a bit boring though and the gameplay was often very generic in feel.

MP again Gears was more polished but I found the play count and map size a bit small. Resistance MP was rough around the edges but could be insane fun with lots of players. Coop on both was fun but better implemented in Gears I thought.

Feels like a draw currently between technical excellence and personal preference. Must think further on this.

It is awesome... better than Gears 2... fun and innovative for me (I never was able to play anything like before it).

Resistance is better than Resistance 2... but just great.

gears is much better to me.
