New PS3 model on the way as usual.... move along~

So a Playstation 3 Super Slim?

I don't think this is just a new model of the PS3 itself. It clearly states PS4. But either way this rumor has me very skeptical because there is no way Sony would be able to ship 20m PS3's OR PS4's in one year unless they drop the PS3 to like $99 or less or the PS4 launches at $200.

as slim as the slim PS2?

As nice as that would be I dont think that would be possible,  even if they used an external power supply like the PS2 slim did.  My guess would be something like the current PS3 models, but a much smaller footprint, like 50% smaller.

This sucks, if true, because taping out the silicon and launching then would mean that (A) PS4 will not be that much more powerful than WiiU or (B) it will be more expensive. An extra year would do wonders for the power/cost ratio.

And... if this is true, so much for the "10 year plan" that most of us knew meant retail support only, but that some fanboys STILL don't see - since the PS3 is more powerful than any PC.
