I'm still holding out hope that Nintendo release an update that removes region locking, it's unlikely as hell, but I can't dream.  I just want to play SMT: DS Overclock and that almost certainly won't get localised unless Nintendo is kind enough to pick it up.

When company enjoys success for few years they tend to end in "We are invincible and consumer will love us whatever we do" mode.

Not necessarily. Nintendo's aware of the 3DS' slow start, for one, and Iwata acknowledged that it was a mistake, so likely one they'll rectify for Wii U (by actually having a killer app at or much closer to launch)

Because hardware sales are much more material than the capricious support of the hardcore?

That's not a bad list. Not at all.

But as always we'll see how many of those games end up being released.

BTW, you can also add an "unannounced FPS from Ubisoft" that isn't Killer Freaks.

Pikmin 3 I'm definitly excited about, and Killer Freaks from Outer Space looks interesting as well. I'm very excited about New Super Mario Bros Mii provided it's an actual NEW Mario game with new stages, powerups, etc. And of course, the new Smash Bros should be awesome.
