twesterm said: I love me my DBZ games, but is there really going to be anything that makes it worth getting this game? I hope I'm wrong but it looks like they added better graphics...and that's about it. I have the funny feeling I can already play this game on my PS2 right now.
My guess is the only substantial thing that's going to be added to this game will be online.
A little off topic, but how is DBZ:BT3? I've been considering it for a while since I actually like DBZ:BT2 minus the stuff that they said they fixed. I meant to follow BT3 but just completely lost track of it.
And I realize the sillyness of my saying I'm thinking about DBZ:BT3 while saying I can already play this new game on my PS2. Even though I bitch, I'll likely get the game. |
Can't speak for the Ps2 version, but on Wii it's online already. Works perfectly against friends, but against strangers had some serious lag issues when we tried it (might be fixed though by now). The motion controls are MUCH better this time around so you mimic the characters motions and it reads it properly nearly 100% of the time (WAY better than stupid button combos IMO). If you're not familiar with a characters moves they have a little character at the bottom corner of the screen displaying the motion. This happens while your charging so it doesn't slow you down to look any. That's MUCH MUCH better than when people keep pausing the game to find out what the button combo is for a move.
Graphics are better than DBZ:BT2 and environments much more distructable. In fact, except for the clothes blowing in the breeze, the graphics are almost the same as in that trailer. I'd be disappointed if I had a PS3 and got graphics only slightly better than Wii's. Anyways, if you like DBZ and have a Wii it's a solid buy - hopefully Atari will fix the online issues, but again, online against friends is perfect and lagless.
