Gears beta wasn't just about finding bugs (there were bugs btw)... It was about testing the dedicated servers (they are new) and finding balancing issues. Thats what a beta should be about. 

I think Uncharted Beta is running smoother now, but it isn't anymore or less a beta then gears because both games went in with a level of unpredictability.

Gears had a lot more time put into it though, it is closer to an online demo rather than a "beta", especially when it comes to performance and graphics.

That's true. You guys should have seen the Reach graphics before the beta and when the real game cam out. There was a pretty big difference!

No. Beta is beta... there are no expectations in beta... it's for find bugs.

I don't care if it's labelled "beta" or not, one is ridden with bugs, the other looks like a finished game, yet people are comparing them and others are feeling dissapointed with the Uncharted 3 beta. I am just stating the obvious here, one is far more complete than the other, so it isn't fair to compare them and if people are feeling let down and worried that the game will be bug ridden, I am just reassuring them that the game is in early stages.

I have been completely neutral here, yet the first time I try and defend Uncharted 3 by saying Gears of War 3 is practically finished and you call me out.

Stating the obvious? more like looking for excuses.

You are trying to pass off that Uncharted 3 is at the same point in development as Gears of War 3, which is far from the truth. I have complemented both beta's and been nothing but neutral here, I have only criticised the Uncharted 3 beta but then I justified its shortcomings. The Uncharted 3 beta is nowhere near as complete as the Gears of War 3 beta whether you like it or not. Stop trying to pretend that they are at the same stages in development, it makes you look like a fanboy.
