I just finished downloading a couple albums from some favorite japanese artists of mine and was just wondering if anybody here is into J-pop or J-rock?

I've listened to this Japanese Metal band before.

The Pillows and  Shakkazombie (Tainted Donuts) > All.

Tho, most Anime j-pop/j-rock kicks ass.  Thats really all I listen too.

I listen to alot of songs from The Gazette and Nightmare, a few from Ayabie too.

Yeah, although I don't really listen to anything too recent. I love stuff like X Japan, Luna Sea, and Sex Machineguns, though.

I'm gonna watch X Japan and Dir en grey live this year. It's gonna be amazing!

I do like the Japanese black metal band Sigh very underated and these guys!

I like shiina ringo/Tokyo Jihen and meri... that's about it for me. from j-rock/j-pop. I'm sure there's more good stuff but I'm picky.
I kinda like the ones badgenome listed. I really don't like dir en grey one bit.
