KH3 is going to go to the PS3, not the Wii, people!

I'm glad that MS is paying for some of these great HD RPGs even if they bomb. Good for the "outer rim" 360 owners like me, meaning I absolutely want nothing to do with Halo.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

No PS3? How much did MS pay you, hah? What an idiots, Trusty Bell basically flopped in Japan and the US on the 360 and therefore its now being released on the PS3 and they're planning to release another RPG on the 360. I dislike Japanese developers more and more this way and their unexpected choices, seems like money is more of an issue.

Well I'm glad to hear it's coming out on the 360 here. My gf is a big Tales of fan, so I can get this for her to play on my 360.  I'll also be picking up the Wii Tales of game when it comes out for her, too :D

I don't have a PS3 (and don't really want one), which is why I'm glad it will be on the 360. :)

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

PS3 is a mess, why is this crap happening?

It's going to be funny watching the meltdowns on forums when KH3 goes to Wii.

I would be extremely dissapointed if it did, no offense but KH is a game that should be in HD glory with awsome graphics.

Wouldnt upset me to much since i have a wii

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Fortunately it's a Tales Of.
I understand that it's sad that Namco send another JRPG to die if it's confirmed to be a XB360 exclusive, timed or not. But that's Namco habits. They'll never learn it seems.
At least people, before melting down, look to see if it's a good Tales Of.
Most Tales Of are not actually good. Though I think this one has Team Symphonia as developers.

Wow so why would Namco want to put a game out on a system they know the game will flop on?

Yea I don't see this as an official confirmation yet. I'll wait for Namco to state it, not this. I mean it makes it more lean towards PS360, but Namco isn't dumb enough to put a big series like Tales on the 360, where it will most likely flop.

Because MS more than likely gave Namco some sort of incentive. I mean given the PS3's less than stellar performance in Japan, it can't be too hard for MS to keep getting exclusivity. Has a third party exclusive managed to exceed expectations in Japan on PS3 yet? I mean if MS foots the development costs, Namco makes money no matter how many units the game sells.

Edit: I am so sick and tired of MS getting deriding for "dirty tactics" for buying exclusives. Sony used the same tactics to get to the number one position in the market and no one cared. When MS does it, there is a problem. Hypocrisy strikes yet again.

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/03/sonys-jack-tretton-we-dont-buy-exclusivity/

........says differently

I was actually referring to the PS1 and PS2 era. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Tomb Raider, etc. where or became PS exclusives because Sony paid the developers/publishers to keep them off competing platforms. Tomb Raider started of as Saturn exclusive franchise and Tomb Raider 2 was not released on Saturn because Sony paid Eidos not to.

As for Tretton's comments, do honestly believe him? Playstation fans are quick to call the 360 an FPS machine. Yet they cannot read between the lines when two multiplatifrom FPS titles became PS3 "exclusives". FPS titles sell the most in the U.S. the PS3 is a distant third in the US. If you think Sony didn't grease the palms of Epic/Midway and Ubisoft you are very gullible.

As for my comments about the PS3's performance in Japan helping MS get JRPG exclusives, its common sense. If the PS3 was dominating Japan it wouldn't matter how much money MS threw at developers they'd put the game on PS3. MS threw buckets of cash a Japanese developers last generation but outside of Tecmo and Sega they got the cold shoulder. Even Sega ditched them for the PS2 after their initial batch of X-box exclusives. The PS3 is being dominated by the Wii in Japan. Third party titles haven't exactly been flying off the shelves for the PS3 in Japan. Gundam Musou didn't come close to the Namco's sales targets so they smartly adjusted their strategy. If MS is going to give them a load of cash for 6 months exclusives they are smart to take it. MS is basically subsidizing their development cost. They put it out on 360 and what ever the manage to sell is pure profit and they then port it to PS3 later on. Since MS footed the bill for the game, even if the game bombs on both 360 and PS3 they make money.

It will appear on the PS3 later as Eternal Sonata...hopefully it will sell well there.

Yes, pretty stupid to believe Sony when they say "we don't buy exclusivity" only one that could truly say that is Nintendo (because exclusivity is forced upon it's developers because of the wii-mote :) j/k). No developer will develop a console exclusive out of the goodness of their heart, Sony shot itself in the foot a couple of times this year and that comment by Tretton is just another example. Even games like MGS4 and FFXIII were bought as exclusives, sure Konami and Square-Enix may have wanted less money because of the established relationship they have with sony, but no way would they have given exclusivity for free.

I hope this tales game comes to the 360, not as an exclusive though, because too many people would complain (I mean, look at this thread already) but it just shows that MS is putting more effort into broadening it's audience, unlike last generation with it's half hearted internal efforts. What MS needs to do now is look at the quality of the JRPG's they are getting, seriously, so annoyed that Blue Dragon was launched before LO because BD was a joke and Mistwalker lost so much credibility in Japan because of it, that's why LO figures are lower. That's a mistake MS will learn from.

As for KH, as much as I'd love a KH game on the 360 (note my sig, I bought the PS2 originally for the first KH game), I doubt that KH3 would be it (if at all). That's definitely a PS3 game
