So, VGChartz who in your opinion is the worst main character in a game that you have ever played?

Im sure there are plenty of lame ones that Im not remembering, but one I remember as being bad was Frank West on Dead Rising. His character just seemed so awkward and goofy. Also when he ran it looked almost like he was having Major constipation issues. The developers maybe meant for him to be a goof ball, but to me he was just so awkward. Mostly comical to watch him speak and move, but in my opinion a bad main character.

Cloud Strife, he's such a wuss that everyone tells him what to do.

Your statement is untrue about Cloud (I wonder how many of the people who complain about FF7 have actually played it), but actually applies to some other FF protagonists. Like Tidus. God, I wanted to smack that kid. Or Squall: ultimate emo.

Personally, I can't choose between Raiden and Vaan. They both make me want to smash things.

Ah yes the Bionic Commando reboot. That was one of my favorite games on the NES. The reboot this gen bombed, and the fault lies with the developers. Terrible character design and just not good gameplay. I agree.

The whole cast of Gears of War or Tidus from Final Fantasy 10, really hard to choose just one.

When I look at Gears of War, I see what is wrong with Western Games, and thank god a lot of excellent western developed games ignored gears of war cliches (However Capcom didn't....).

On the other side... we have tidus.....and let just say between him and Wakka....I don't know who I wanted to kill more...and I typically love main characters.
