It was a bonus, and since it was in the PS3, it was basically inevitable that it would win the format war. I currently have about 8/9 games, and about the same number of bds, but i'm about to buy two more games and 4 more bds (inc Spiderman trilogy). I think it is just a bonus. However, my parents were thinking of getting a DVD upscaler with a BD player as a bonus, but decided against the PS3 because it is a games console and they didn't want me playing it in our house in France, so just got a different Sony system

i think alot of people are buying it for the blu ray player and nothing else. if someone wants a blu ray player, the store clerk will usually tell them that the ps3 is the cheapest one on the market.

i have ds lite, wii, 360 and ps3

bought the ps3 for blu ray only, and i own no games. May buy singstar for partys. i own about 10 blu rays

in the uk its the best/cheapest blu ray player.

I mainly play world of warcraft

it's obvious he probably got one or two PS3s with Sony's buy our HDTV and get a PS3 free deal. But stil it makes sense to have a blu-ray payer for each TV and the PS3 is the best Blu-ray payer out right now.
