He was asked a question and answered it. What do you expect him to do? If gets to you so badly maybe you should stay off of the internet.

"It’s bad for the industry that this has happened to Sony. It’s very, very bad. It’s very damaging. So we don’t wish that upon anybody and you've seen we’ve been actually pretty quiet on the subject because we don’t want to appear to even be looking to be taking advantage of somebody else’s situation like that. That’s just not in our DNA," he said."

yeah don't read.... Sony was a bigger deal because final consumer could actually see the consequences of the hack.... citigroup was seamless for the end user or at least less than the PSN being down....
especially since we are on a gaming forum.....
and like you said it was concerning only 400,000 user in the case of citigroup.... not millions like PSN.... and it was a big deal it was down for how many weeks again ???? yeah not a big deal.....
I see more a sony fan who doesn't want bad advertising for his team.... this is news worthy especially since the group that did it is still active today....


Ah ok, so if Sony had kept their mouths shut and kept their business going on like nothing was happened (like Citigroup did), it would have been better, right?

Respectful and to the point, now isn't the time for PR bullshit because hacking is a serious problem and it can happen to ANYBODY. Good man for being respectful to SONY and PSN users.

His comments were fair, and even if you think there was some braggadocio involved in his comments. That would be entirely justified. Microsoft used to be the laughing stock of security many years ago. Since then they have put in a lot of time and work to seriously improve their security. That is a feature of their product, and it isn't really a just argument that a company shouldn't be proud of its technical accomplishments.

To be fair Microsoft isn't likely to be attacked. Whether some people want it to happen to them. The vast majority of hack attacks are amateurish, and are directed at soft targets. Microsoft isn't likely to be taken down by the first, and the second will only encourage the hackers to go elsewhere. They do not want to spend weeks or months coming up with a original strategy. When in the same time they can hit a couple dozen companies which have been lazy.
