First thing I notice... a dead pixel on the 3D screen right in the middle. Only noticiable when the screen goes black. The pixel showing red.

System updated and d/l all the E3 previews and anything free.

The 3D seems to be different from game to game. Meaning, they have slightly different sweet spots.

I've used it on the train/bus with bumpy rides for an hour. Haven't experience any sickness that people cried about.

It's so tiny (after I've been using DSiXL).

The 3D slider could have been made tighter. It feels loose.

It looks like a tripple layers cake on the table.

The 3D will be different from game to game as it's upto the developers how they choose to implement it and the quality will of course vary by developer based upon thier skill. The triple layered design is deliberate by Nintendo. In the relevant Iwata Asks they explain it but I cannot remember the explantion they gave. I do agree the 3D Slider could have been made a little tighter. I'm sure the inevitable redesign (my guess is 2013 or 2014 depending on sales) will have a step forward in build quality all-round. As long as the dead pixel doesn't affect you when the screen is on don't worry about it. If it does you could contact Nintendo Customer Support and see if they will repair it for you. They are usually really good at stuff like that.

Good to see the opinion of an actual fellow gamer. In order to see the 3DS at peak performance, I would say look at Nintendo developed games, then give it roughly a year for good third parties such as Capcom and Square to take advantage of it.

i got mine yesterday and the 3d is impressive and did not get me dizzy or any headaches.
i like the design but as you said the slider is a bit lose

When you get to the dashboard look for the little square with a smiley face. Then it will show a box with your Mii and name on it, scroll over that box and it will show your FC. You can add friends their too. My FC is 1032-1232-2368 add me!
