Forums - Microsoft - Xbox Live troubles

Okay a while ago i updated xbox live but suddenly i can't sign in. It tells me my account has been suspended due to troubles with payment options. I select a payment option and it closes. Now my friends list is gone but i am signed in.I cannot access Zune yet the inside xbox and other news is up to date. When I try to add MS points it says premium  content is disabled for the profile and go to online safty settings. I do and nothing is there. How do i get out out of live limbo and fix this, i have heard of this before a month ago but ignored it thinking it would not happen. I have checked the internet and cannot find a solution. I was gone from this website a long time so forgive me if this has been created and point me in the correct direction to a solution. I want to buy SSF4 AE.

Around the Network

Your payment option (most likely a credit card) probably expired or there is not enough balance remaining to charge your Xbox Live renewal. I had this same problem and got emails about it that told me to go to a Microsoft billing website to add a new payment option. Everything I tried, though, did not seem to work and kept giving me an "unable to authorize payment" message.

So I called 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and the US, English speaking customer service rep got it sorted out in just a few minutes. I guess the only way to avoid this is to change your payment options in advance because once it reaches the point of suspending you for payment conflicts it is impossible to change it on your end (or at least in my case it was).
