I had an interesting reinterpretation of the last scene that i never quite had before

In the instance in the party scene where you see Mido and King Zora all alone, i always laughed because i thought it meant that Mido (explicitly made a jerk), and King Zora (implicitly made a jerk, scooch scooch) weren't welcome because they were jerks, but today i had the thought that they had no cause for celebration because one "lost" his daughter, and the other, his best friend

Now i feel kinda bad for laughing at them for 10-odd years.

Ocarina of Time done, and i'll fill out the weekend with some Smash Bros and then download Link's Awakening on Monday.

I assumed this interpretation (solidarity in loss) was the standard!

Majora's Mask:-

I'm at the Pirate's Fortress. Just got the stone mask.

The Stone Mask may be the best thing ever but it's broken as Hell for all stealth sections.

Right. And my old jerk theory kinda falls through when you have Ingo dancing arm-in-arm with Talon, when Malon implies some levels of abuse on his part

Stealth sections being in there are the actual broken part. It's a good thing the Stone Mask exists, because it allows you to play the game like you want. Not that I ever get it before the stealth sections, just doesn't fit into my usual schedule.

Complete file in five three day cycles for the win!

See I always get the Stone Mask before the stealth parts, because that's great.

I had forgotten that you're the kind of player who doesn't do Support in Fire Emblem.

I take the supports that just so happen, that's all. Not going to deliberately waste turns on the battlefield for some stats bonuses that I will rarely use anyway.

But why are you trying to derail your own thread? I suppose you want to distract from my glorious way of completing Majora's Mask in such a short time. But you see, even though it sounds like a stressful way to play the game, I actually have more than enough time to get everything done. The only cycle where things can get a little bit hectic is the third one, because the entire world opens up. In all the other cycles I have to wait a lot, move time forwards or just go back to the first day, because there's nothing left to do on the third day.

...How many times have you beaten Majora's Mask?

A lot of times. It didn't take many playthroughs to get it down to five cycles though.

EDIT: Out of interest, how many cycles does it take everyone else to complete Majora's Mask 100 %? Or in case you don't care for collecting all the stuff, how many cycles does it take just to get to the end of the game?

The whole concept of a timer scared me clean off that game, and i've seen some of those sidequests... I've seen friends get all the masks (when i loaned the cartridge off them to dick around as Fierce Deity Link), but i've never seen anyone get everything

One thing I never noticed on previous playthroughs is that the baby dodongos in Dodongo's Cavern are bomb-gobblers.

Try it out. Go in a hallway with some baby dodongos, wait for them to come out, and set down a bomb. They will make a bee-line for it, gobble it up, and die.

It's kind of cute.
