well 2 big differences...

it's reading so it lasts longer (games here can run above 1000 posts easily and about 2 weeks.... that is considered a short time for internet games though).

The roles are a lot more complex... as secrecy is easier to have (there are a ton of potential roles, just look at the mafiascum website, they have a nice wiki on these).

I want to kill Final-Fan night one this game. Even if I don't have a killing role.

I'm looking forward to knowing my role day one. :P I just hope I don't have another linked role. They can be quite fun, but this time I'd like to not have the extra pressure of being the cause of another townie's death should I die.

Day Two was over two weeks though.

Well, I think the biggest difference is that you can't see the people's faces. I've identified quite a few seeing their facial expressions.

I personally always feel like these proposals are kneejerk reactions to unfortunate individual days that happened to be very badly drawn out.  I feel the game does not generally need time constraints and when a bad day does happen I think the town's ability to ask for a time limit should be enough to handle it, and if they don't it's their own damn fault. 

A game with a day clock is a very different animal IMO, but it can also be fun.  I'll still play regardless.  Hopefully I won't die Night 1 for ... hmm, I forget how many times it's happened to me so far.  Three, I think.  Out of 25 that's not that bad I guess.
