I remember the first time I played that game on PSX that took gaming to an era in which it was not afraid to show it could make good use of some resources that were originally used on films. But that wasn't it all. I remember it for being really immersive. Developers had done a great job making small little every day things part of the actual experience, like the smokes to discover the alarms, the way the chick moved her assets even when she was undercover and how that was important to discover her, the god damn diazepam and his effect on the long rung...
I know, i know. You are a big Metal Gear Solid fanboy, one of those religious fanatics and you are very defensive about the subject of my thread. Chances are Sony's consoles defined the gamer you are. You won't agree with me. And you may have your reasons.
I was saying that Metal Gear Solid, as I remember it, was an immersive experience. Suddenly the logics you use in your everyday life could help you to do well in the game. When I first bought my Wii and tried Big Brain Academy and I had to use my wiimote as a phone to memorize all the food some imaginary costumer was ordering me, or when I had to answer the Travis Touchdown's blond weakness by a similar logic, I couldn't but smile in joy, as a child. That was something I couldn't have dreamt in the early nineties. When it happend, you can imagine, I thought how great it would be to answer the colonel that way.
Well, here we are. I was thinking, with the potenciality the new controller has, how great it would be to see Snake making great use of it.
What do you think about this? What kind of use could Metal Gear Solid series (or Deus Ex too, why not) of the Wii U controller?
