Forums - General - Citibank hacked. Tells the world a month later.

source

"Is account security a thing of the past? Quote: 'We're talking a fairly serious hack, too. The personal and account information of some 200,000 Citibank card holders in North America was breached, reports Reuters, including contact specifics like names and email addresses. The solitary bit of good news? Citibank claims far more sensitive info like social security numbers, birth dates, card expiry dates and CVV card security codes was not compromised.'"

Hey Sony, here's some ammunition. LOL.

Wow...bad move by citibank

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Can't believe this kind of crap. I hope some new laws are passed forcing companies to divulge these kind of breaches day of. Not Weeks or months later. Whats up with all this hacking lately? Has it always been going on like this and we just never got the stories posted here?

Hundreds of companies get hacked and only some even tell their consumers. Sony was not all that terrible with timing. But alas, the gaming world is a world of fanboys and hate =p

yep. I don't blame them for the timing of it. I blame them for getting hacked in the first place. The psn is the single most important thing in for playstation right now, it should be guarded like the president. WIth the ghostbusters and everything. But its all water under the bridge.

they make Sony look like saints! :p

Not surprising from Citibank. They are about the shadyist banking company in the US.

Maybe someday, we'll just go back to hiding money under the couches and mattresses.

Yah then we can go back to the old definition of hacked.

JoelCool's body was found hacked in his home, money credit card info and his identity seem to have been stolen. Police were late on the scene revealing the hack actually took place last week. Time of death is still being determined the crime scene thanks to the hack shut down the local bus network leaving hundreds of users stranded.

When will the hacking end....wahh I'm dead.....
