Forums - Gaming - How much would you pay for a game?

$60 is pushing me to only buying the games I want the most. Right now, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy 13 are games that I'd buy almost instantly if they were in the market. Renting has become my new standard when it comes to games.

I'd pretty much agree with this. What they're charging now is about the most i'd really want to pay for a game. Renting is great if your unsure about buying, but even renting is expensive, at the local blockbuster its 11 dollars to rent a game for a week, although theres no late fees so i keep it for an extra 3 or 4 days usually.

I'll only dish out the money for games like Killzone 2 and Gran Turismo 5.

Price is only a barrier. The price I would pay for a game would be the cheapest price, possible. The most expensive game I purchased cost me $100, and it was Bubble Bobble Part 2 for the NES.

I usually pay full retail for my games.  Especially if it's a well done, great game--I like to support the developers.

I would pay more than a $1,000 right here, right now to have a complete copy of FFXIII in my hands...literally.

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

Price doesnt always guarentee quality. I would ususally only spend the $49.99 price of a new game, unless I really, really wanted the collector edition for some reason. If it was higher then that, I would look at it, and put it down I made a few exceptions for a few 360 games, but I inturn am able to sell them when im done with them, (unlike PC games which have a greatly reduced value since they are easily copied)

$80 - I would give up on Video Games if they went above that, even though they used to be that price with far less quality.
