A DS fat then wii at launch, then DSlite, Dsi and the 3ds...
NO ps3/360.
edit: now that I think about it, I bought all my consoles at launch... No wonder why I am always broke...

In this gen, the first I owned was the PSP. I've had that since a year after it was first released, and never bothered to upgrade to a new version. It's rarely played these days.
Next was the PS3. I bought it back in the 'no-games' days, which wasn't even true then (it was a dark time to own a PS3, then). I've been very happy with it, and bought into the slim model. It's been a brilliant machine and services my gaming needs well whilst also acting as a brilliant kids console, especially now Move has been added, too.
Next was the Wii. I wanted to love this, but didn't for a variety of reasons. Eventually, after some frenetic initial gaming them a long period of gathering a lot of dust, it was sold on. It just wasn't the console for us.
Next was the 360. For us, it's primarily a kids machine. I play the decent exclusives (and there are several worth playing), but it's used more for the kids and dance games.
I'm in the all of them camp.
I have a Wii, PS3 and 360. I also have a PSP and DS in the house.
Not planning on getting a 3DS but may take a hard look at PS Vita - LBP and Uncharted look hard to miss on that and they are my two favorite new IP this gen.
I play most on PS3 then split it up between 360 exclusives and Wii exclusives.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Started with 360 that died on me 3 times.
Got a Wii as soon as I could find one (went into a store at 2:30 am when the shipment first came in), got a PS3 for Uncharted.
The 360 from a hardware perspective pissed me off, but I liked a lot of games on it (though I still hate console shooters). It still had a lot of good stuff. Dead Rising is still one of my favorites of the generation. I would have liked getting Kinect for voice commands in games, hopefully that feature shows up on the PC version of ME. I definitely miss the selection on XBLA that came up after I left. I'm just not paying another $300 or whatever to do it.
PS3 I've liked a lot from a hardware and software perspective. Since it's not so shooter heavy I've had a lot of fun with the versatility of it. I'm really, really happy with my PS3 and it fills a niche my PC and Wii don't. Not much else to say besides great console and though expensive was worth every penny.
Wii has been my go-to system this gen. As a married guy with a wife that started out from the position of not liking and being intimidated by games, this thing has been a savior. Now she plays Wii all the time, but sadly won't touch most of my PS3 games, twist of irony but she considers them kiddie games for teens and immature man-children. In the end, if this system hadn't come along when it did in the form that it did, the next generation would have 1 less gamer. She saw the WiiU controller video and said "day 1". From zero interest and not liking games at all to "day 1". Regardless how it's remembered by others for what reasons, Wii will always be my favorite console for opening that door.
PC will always be my faithful companion. The biggest and best surprise has been Steam for me. I guess it started 2004 or so but it really blossomed in the last 4 years.

Haha great topic, mine's fucked up somehow;
- end of 2006: Got a Wii, bought it first week.
- mid 07': Sold my wii cause i had enough of it. Got a 360.
- early 08': Sold my 360 to my bro, got a PS3.
2009/2010: Stayed with my Ps3
- mid' 11: kept my PS3, rebought a Wii.
Wii: Yeah, the Main reason i sold it, was because of the crappy games, aside FP Content. and even the first party content annoyed me, cuz i love good Stories, and Peach still gets captured by Bowser, and Link gets 3 Shiny things which enables to get the Mastersword, then he has to clear 6-8 Temples, and then he kills ganon and rescues Zelda. in addition; once i saw HD content, everything below 720p kinda looked just shitty to me. (though i have to admit im over with y Zelda hate, but i still highly dislike Mario. he was a great childhood experience, and i will keep it that.)
360: some RROD's aside, i love that system.
PS3: because of more appealing content than the 360 (just my opinion, cuz i dont like Gears or Halo), i love that system a bit more than MS' one. (And the Playstation brand did deliver the PSX Final Fantasies, which are games i'll never forget. ^_^)
Everyone is talking about heir portables... I should have mentioned my DS D=
