But not surprising, considering how dogged they are about making Xbox games even now.

Hey, physical collectors? I have some good news for you:

"From reddit
Koch Media (physical distributor for KT in EU) lists Toukiden 2 on their site

Eep!
I feel like if Toukiden II vita was coming we would gotten the platforms announcements by now. Whenever platforms don't get initially confirmed, it's because there are probably some disagreements about whether or not they should release on vita.
I hope I'm wrong though.

I would have agreed with you on that one, but all evidence points to Vita version not only happening, but physically too (at least in EU). Between German rating board and now this, it's certainly a good sign!
Might as well plug myself in here. I wrote an article about the state of Vita in 2016 and where it'll be in 2017. It's optimistic, sure, but I enjoyed writing it:
I also finished my review of Jak & Daxter for Vita. tl;dr - it's still a fantastic game in spite of the fact that the early chapters run like crap; performance evens out towards the end:

I mean wasn't there another game that was rated for vita, but didn't get released for it ? Maybe I'm misremembering but that's what I was basing my opinion on ^^

If you look through a history of Koei-Tecmo games on Vita rated by USK, the vast majority are games that received physical releases. The only exceptions to this rule are Atelier Rorona Plus and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, both games from 2014.
That means all more recent Koei-Tecmo titles (and there are a lot of them - 3 Atelier games; 4 Samurai Warriors games; Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires; Attack on Titan) all weren't rated by USK for Vita.
Suddenly, ratings have started popping up again - the first one is for Atelier Shallie Plus (which is geting a physical release) and the second is for Toukiden 2. Notably, Berserk and the Band of the Hawk and Dynasty Warriors Godseekers don't have ratings, both of which are confirmed as digital-only.
It's speculation, but I feel like it has a pretty strong basis. The Koch Media listing is the kicker for me though. There's no point listing it on their site if it's digital-only, Koei would just publish it themselves and not involve a distributor.
I still have vanilla Toukiden to play, so 2 will have to wait a bit when it comes. For now I'm playing Shinovi Versus and enjoying it quite a bit. The characters are really growing on me.
PS Miyabi Best girl

Nice. I played through Shinovi Versus a while ago - enjoyed it, though I only finished one of the routes. Should probably go back and do the others.
I'm on Trillion: God of Destruction at the moment. Genuinely, I really love this game. It's a hidden gem of 2016; much like Lost Dimension was in 2015.
So here's a bit of an info dump:

I haven't been keeping up with Dies Irae Kickstarter, but 100$ for a vita digital version lol ?
40k additional stretch goal for a 16 page booklet lol x2
I was planning on backing this towards the end, but not anymore. Besides I've already played this VN on pc several years ago, so no need for me to support this shit.
