I not too far into the game so far, just beat 2 levels but from what I've read its less of a metroidvania than previous titles. So, yeah it's more linear than other Shantae games. Controls are nice and tight, loading is fast.I guess you could say this game is more of a 2d mario (linear, transformation powers) but with Shantae charm.

edit : there does seem to be some stutter which I'm guessing is related to effects. Nothing too bad just a tad annoying.

Plague Road has added an option for physical Vita pledges.  Get on it!

I was a bit worried for my platform choice as Shantae backer the last months, but Shantae: Half Genie Hero is a perfect fit for the Vita.

I do wish they would do more of Shantae on LRG. It's the only one I really wanted that I missed.
