Gundam Breaker

I own this already, one of the few games I picked up right away because well I had PS Vita TV.

Gundam Breaker I will look into for sure.

Gundam Extreme VS is coming out in the west soon too.

Danganronpa series(if you like interesting stories)

Rayman games (if you like platformers)

Hyperdimensional Neptunia series (if you like goofy games)

Disgaea  series very grindy strategy games, but very fun too)

Stein's gate ( I started it recently, but so far it's really good)

God Eater games and World of Final Fantasy are coming westward as well.

Just played about the first hour or so of Severed and so far it's really good, like surprisingly good. It's definitely feels a DRPG-Lite but it really trims the fat as far as exploration and combat goes.

There aren't any big open areas with lots of tiles to explore. It's just corridors which really helps with my "must explore every inch" OCD I usually get when playing DRPGs. The combat is what really surprised me however. I've known it was just swiping the touch screen back and forth for awhile but it caught me off guard with how deep it is. You have to approach every enemy differently and how you swipe effects how much damage you do. The way combat works is just weirdly satisfying, I like it.

This is definitely one of those games you shouldn't brush off because you THINK you won't like it. It's cheap (and good) enough that it worthy of a purchase no matter what kind of games you usually like.

So glad you like it! It's definitely one of my favorite Vita games. DrinkBox is definitely a studio to watch moving forward. They've mastered many different genres in a relatively short amount of time.

I still have a big backlog, so this won't be a comprehensive list. But I can offer a few recommendations:

Wipout 2048 - arguably the best Wipeout game, and also maybe the last. It's a crime that Studio Liverpool closed after this
Guacamelee! - a stellar Metroidvania with some punishing platform sections and awesome combos
Retro City Rampage - one of the best indie titles of the last 5 years, a sort of 8-bit Grand Theft Auto
Gravity Rush - an innovative action-adventure game spoiled somewhat by a cryptic and anticlimactic ending
Severed - DrinkBox' follow-up to Guacamelee! is a haunting dungeon crawler with deep touchscreen combat
Killzone Mercenary - one of the better installments of a wildly uneven shooting series
Muramasa - I've only played the Wii original, but the content is largely the same: gorgeous graphics, spectacular boss fights
Limbo - a dark, disturbing puzzle platformer
Lone Survivor - a creepy survival horror game with multiple endings
Mutant Mudds Deluxe - deceptively difficult platformer with a ton of secret levels

Muramasa Rebirth also has a 4 part DLC expansion called Genroku Legends. Each part is an individual story about a different character.

Congrats to Shadow8 and iamRockman! The Severed codes are yours!

And thanks to everyone who commented. Hopefully we can do another contest like this soon, publishers willing
