So here's what Media Vision has been working on... a new Shining game for PS3.

Oh well. At least it's not for mobile, I guess.

Oh...poo! It wont make it over aswell. What a waste of resources.

SEGA has butchered the Shining series so much that i no longer care.

I just want to see camelot or intelligent systems (Nintendo) making a deal with SEGA to make Shining Force 4 (a strategy game). I dont care about the rest of the Shining series anymore.

A new Kickstarter with a vita release among its main platforms .Red Goddess: Inner World. It's already almost funded with 24 days to go.

Looks pretty cool. Also looks like it's gonna be backed. Fingers crossed it ends up being good.

Yeah, I'm surprised (or am I?) that SEGA didn't go PS3/Vita with the new Shining game. It's not like Media Vision haven't already got their hands on a Vita devkit so they're not familiar with the machine.

I also kinda feel like they're throwing away sales. Since the game isn't coming west anyway, performance in Japan is important, and Vita is on the rise while PS3 is on the way down.

Poor, SEGA.

They supported PSP plenty (that's where the Shining series was reborn, after all, and where Valkyria Chronicles moved) and are capable of PS3/Vita development (see: Hatsune Miku).  So I am still a little surprised.

Ok, finally started Atelier Totori and I like it so far but I have a question:

How important is time ? I don't like timers in games, but so far it feels pretty laxed in totori. Do I need to worry in the future about being on time ?

It's SEGA, a company know for its record of exclusives for Dying consoles.. Dreamcast, NGC, Wii and now PS3.. i think that the last two Shinning games on PS2 came arround when PS3 had 1 year already..

Meet the longstop dates (i.e. Totori fulfilling the initial licence requirements and then Totori getting her final licence) but otherwise, no, the game is very lax with time (especially compared to Rorona).

You might miss out on the actual "storyline" involving Totori's mum if you're not prompt with stuff when that's available, but you can always do that on a later playthrough if you wish.  I managed to get it all done without using a guide, though (apart from the "true" ending).

Great, I feel much better.

I don't mind missing out on some stuff on my first playthrough, it is my first Atelier game after all. I just don't like feeling rushed to do something or get a game over or something like that.

thanks ^^
