You're aware that biggest games aimed at west like Uncharted, Killzone, LBP... Don't work on Vita.TV? And do you honestly think that west needs another "box" no matter how small it is to stream Netflix and Hulu?

Western gamers don't have space for multiple devices in their pockets; I think they have a bit more space under their TV's for devices.

It's a good entry point device for someone who wants streaming; and a good way to answer to all the people (and I see plenty around the internet) who say "but I don't want to play console games on a handheld!"  Well, here you go.

Also, Killzone is getting patched for VitaTV support.  Don't see why all the other missing games can't get patched over time.

So anyone else just expect 64gb cards to be coming along with this "Slimmest Launch" event

If the event is indeed about PS Vita 2000 and/or TV, I would say the chances are pretty high. Heck, they could even drop a little more the prices of those smaller MC.

Ok, I need to stop getting hyped lol. Like MikeRox said, it could even be a new PS3 version LMAO.

Naughty Dogs new project is a Vita game being worked on by a smaller team, will be shown at new event

Sony Gearing Up For A Big VITA Re-Launch, New Games And #JRPGVITA Announcement Expected

BY KHURRAM IMTIAZ - JANUARY, 25TH 2014

Sony has recently teased a mysterious press event for the launch of one of their hardware. This teaser reads: “Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest.”

At this point, it might not be a surprise to think that they are hinting at an announcement of either PS VITA Slim or PS VITA TV, which were released in Japan last year. While the PS VITA Slim managed to find success in Japan, PS VITA TV wasn’t so fortunate. It also seems like a device that is well suited for the Western market so it won’t be surprising to see Sony announcing it for North America/Europe.

But surely, there can’t be any launch event without announcement of any games, right? It seems like Sony is finally going to drop the curtain on what they are cooking for the VITA, especially the #JRPGVITA twitter campaign, which started last year.

In an interview to Kotaku last year, SCE’s Adam Boyes said the following: “I would say in the next year’s time, if you’re a fan of Japanese games, if you’re a fan of Vita, then hopefully we’ll have a little treat for you.”

SCE’s Shahid Kamal Ahmad also dropped a couple of teases on his twitter account.

Might have some news for you soon.

Shahid Kamal Ahmad was on the forefront with the #JRPGVITA campaign so it is not surprising to see him teasing something related to them.

If you are still not convinced, Boss of Double Eleven, Lee Hutchinson talked about porting an exclusive PS3 game to the VITA/PS4. When asked by a user on when they will be reveal this game, Hutchinson said: “I dont think we’re long off announcing.”

This is not the only game they are currently porting to the VITA, they are also working on Frozen Synpase Tactics port for the VITA. When a user asked when to expect an announcement for FST, Hutchinson replied: “within 10 days.”

It won’t be surprising to see Sony announcing a new hardware and new games to accompany with it at this press event, in an effort to revitalize the interest in the PS VITA.

What do you think of this press event by Sony? Are you excited for it? Let us know in the comments below.

Just wanted to share with you guys. Ktay95, for whatever reason I can't open your link. But I know it's just some cool trolling :P

A shame Vita Tv isn't doing better in Japan. But then again, Google and Apple couldn't figure out that market, I guess Sony couldn't do any better.

5 Million Apple TVs were sold in 2012... not bad for a "hobby" project.

So I just played the Demo of Toukiden and here's my thoughts about it:

I'm not goint to say that it's better than Soul Sacrifice, but it's definitely superior in some ways.

-The graphics are way better, also I liked more that you can interact with other characters in a village instead of being stuck in a cell with a book. Toukiden has irregular ground so you don't have an awful feeling of horizontality like in Soul Sacrifice.

-However, the art and style (bosses, levels, powers, etc.) are very generic. In this aspect I like more Soul Sacrifice (except the level desing which is better in Toukiden). And the story in Toukiden it is not as interesting as the post-apocaliptic world of Soul Sacrifice. And the voice acting it is not translated!  D:

-My veredict so far? I'll bought it not only because it solves many things I didn't like about Soul Sacrifice but also because it's fun. :D

-Let's see if Comcept and Japan Studio take a look at Toukiden and fixes some things for Soul Sacrifice Delta or Soul Sacrifice 2.

-----------------

So February are Toukiden and Danganronpa. :D

----

I just watched a gameplay video of Deception IV and... I didn't like it. lolz

Toukiden is almost a Monster Hunter clonic game with a more fantastic/spiritual/historic look... plus some tweaks. Is slower than SS but faster on gameplay than MonHun, I think... and yeah levels are open to explore wich is good...

the great difference is that SS is centered on BossBattles... and that isn't changing with DELTA, just introduced more spells, combinations of mages and new areas to old backgrounds...

I will try a little more toukiden but I think I can wait with this game, i liked the fastest pace of SS and story and music a lot more by far... but both are great games, and Toukiden have more potential between teenaged consumers...

Well, yeah, I noticed that Toukiden is very similar to MH that's why I call it generic, but still enjoyable to play.

Yeah, SS Delta isn't changing many things, however, for Gods sake SS2 needs to improve many things: Graphics, emilinate the book interface and add something more like Toukiden, (not a village but it can be the HQ's of Avalon or the Sanctuary or the third faction which I can't remember its name), level desing must me more creative and less repetitive (I mean many levels had the same desing and the only thing that changed was the background), they must add more verticality to the levels.

In general, I like more Soul Sacrifice because it features more boss fights, the music is incredible, the story is fricking awesome, the gameplay is fun and intuitive and original (¿Sacrifice or Save?),  etc. Yeah, I like more SS, but Toukiden is going to keep me busy until SS2 releases! :D

It's official, I'm hyped by the coming announcement, so if Sony makes a shitty conference and I'm dissapointed, it's going to be your fault @RafaelOrix.  D:

Now I know I might sound crazy but... why not release both Vita TV and 2000 at the same time? If they are going for a relaunch it would make sense.

I honestly think VitaTV would make more sense in the west at this point. They already have a handheld which isn't selling for shit; it's just an unappealing device in today's market.

A slightly slimmer, smaller model isn't going to change that.

VitaTV has the potential to be a bit more competitive should they handle it right (which they won't but still).

That said, I fully expect this announcement to be Vita 2000.

Vita TV is a stupid idea.

Vita biggest complaint: Lack of unique games (that people care about)

Vita TV:  Not even compatible with many Vita unique games.

Good job I didn't say it was a good idea then, eh?

Do you think releasing the Vita2000 is a better idea than the VitaTV?

Because neither of them are going to solve the console's game problems.  But one can appeal to a slightly different demographic ("I don't want to play console games on a handheld!") than the other.

I laugh at that hype inducing article and call bullshit.
