first thing,wth is oled(i guess optimized led??)
second,3ds has more GREAT GAMES.
third,vita hardware might be better but you cant watch real 3d with it.
3ds has more rpgs espesially jrpgs and turn based ones
last but not the least,go watch gameplay trailer of bravely default/pokemon/animal crossing/link between worlds and maybe mario kart

Why i bought a Vita: Wipeout 2048, Ys celceta, Persona 4 golden and possibility for PSO2, the tales games and PS nova if it turns out good.

I got both systems and you are talking trash. 3D no one uses, its only an occasional fun feature. It does not compare to the quality of the vita screen. Im not sure the 3ds has more jrpgs nor that it has the best. Its neck to neck.

Finally, pokemon and bravely are extremely grindy games, not for everyone.

And for the record, none of the 3ds rpgs come close to the excelence of p4g.

So, maybe you should broaden those horizons instead of coming here to pick a fight you will lose.

oled is pretty much an improved version of led with better power consumption, better response time, better viewing angles, and deeper blacks.

Whether the games are better or not is opinionated but Vita games get better scores so...

My evo 3d uses the same 3d technology as the 3ds and I used it once and never used it again. It's only useful for the fact that your phone can use 3d.

I'm not sure which has more jrpgs (and i'm not sure you do either) but i'm not too crazy over turnbase rpgs.

I know of all those games and to be honest the only ones that are really worth it are Zelda and MK. Games like Little Big Planet Vita never end. It pretty much has infinite replayability through the online mode. Go check some of the user created levels.

Ignoring Aviggo's Flamebait, i gotta call something out.

First off, pokemon is a grindy game not for everone? Have you seen the sales of the thing, if 10+million sales for each game is now considered niche, i really don't know what to say to you.

No 3DS rpg comes close to P4G? Have you played Etrian Odyssey? Have you played SMT 4? Have you played Pokemon? Gameplay wise, it absolutely smashes P4G. Persona 4 has amazing characters, great story, and the social link element is amazing, but the gameplay is still bad. You complain about grindy games like Bravely and pokemon and yet you still say how excellent P4G is? You go through a dungeon with the same music, same enemies, same combat, that tends to last 3-4 hours. You need to grind off the golden hands or else your party will get destroyed by the boss stage. The only thing that stops it from being unplayable is the fact that at least the music is nice and changes per dungeon, unlike Persona 3's 250+ floor tower with the same music throughout.

P4G is still an amazing game, but to say nothing on 3DS matches it....i would say you need to broaden those horizons on 3DS games.

But all the games you're listing sell a large majority of their copies in NA, and if the console is dead in the water there then it's a much harder sell to get these games on board when you're saying "you can sell to Europe and Japan and hopefully you'll spark some sales in the USA".  Not a particularly good deal.

I understand what you're saying but still.  Assassin's Creed would be alright to get across again as there's an existing template, but Elder Scrolls; GTA and CoD would have to start from scratch.  And considering, if the rumours are anything to go by, that Vicarious Visions couldn't get Black Ops 2 to run on Vita, I don't see why next year's CoD is a lock.  And if CoD can't run on its engine from 2007, there's no way in hell GTA IV or V would run on Vita without some serious optimisation, and once we're getting to this point you have to question whether it's worth doing anything for the platform.

I'd like to see a CoD come to Vita next year instead of Wii-U, it's certainly deserved it more.  But unless Sony does something drastic next year - relaunching with VitaTV & 2000 alongside some games which actually move hardware into western gamers hands, then they won't do it.  Why should they?  Black Ops Declassified sold better than any CoD on Wii-U, but that was ~ 2 years ago and Vita has cratered since then.

Be careful with this, mate.  I have no problem with you discussing choices between the two handhelds in here but this seems like a pretty baity post just to tick people off in here.

And to answer your question honestly:  Vita reached the 3 games threshold + some other features requirement that I want before I buy a console, in late 2012 when I bought it.  Those games were WipEout 2048; LittleBigPlanet Vita and Gravity Rush; and the other features were access to the PSP & PS1 back catalogues.  3DS still hasn't quite reached my requirements.  It now has 3 games I want: Tales of the Abyss; Kingdom Hearts 3D & Bravely Default, but it doesn't have many other features beyond that, as I already have access to a DS which I don't use.

The vita could handle KZ3 engine no pro and its by far the best looking handle game yet. So i think COD engine could work with the right people next time, but yeah for gta they would need a lot more optimisation which is fine by me if they can make a gta game fun like the psp games and not the ps3 ones.
