At first I wanted to wait until my spring break next month..but now I'm trying to get it next week! (my gf even bought me UMvC3 Vita lol) have a friend who works at target that might be able to get me the employer discount amount..so waiting on his reply

@Izo: Thanks man..glad to hear you find this thread helpful...and yep PSV is a thing of beauty..as a HUGE portable fighting game fan, the D-pad improvements are heavenly

I'm sorry for brining this thread down being so negative, i hate it when others do it but I'm excited or the Vita but i don't know if thats enough :/

i live in this amazing thread and will be so jealous when you all have one but i think il have to stay strong and not buy one :L

 If you don't have a reason to have a Vita over a PS3 (I.e. I have a LOT of travelling to do in March... so need a Vita to make the journeys fun) then just stick with the PS3 for now. Twisted Metal and SSX will both be kick ass games that last you ages, and as you're from the UK the Vita will be cheaper / have better bundles in a few months - as that's just how it happens in the UK. Plus the games will have gotten a bit cheaper too.

 In reality theres no real reason to get it at launch other then wanting the thing, but waiting will always save you money and give you a better selection of games at a lower price. I doubt you'll really be missing out on too much for the first few months anyway - you can play Uncharted and Wipeout on your PS3... unless you're a big Stardust or Lumines fan there's nothign overly unique yet. Until Gravity Daze hits anwyay...

 They haven't got PS3 games to run on it - I'm not sure whether you mean Cross-Play (correct me if I'm wrong) which is basically where the PS3 runs the game and 'streams' it to your Vita, or if you mean stuff like Rayman / UMvC which are ports designed to run on the hardware.

 To get PS2 running on Vita the emulator would need to be made to do so - which while possible probably would take some engineering. It might be on Sony's 'to-do' list but it took the PSP 4 year to get PS1 games so I'd imagine they just don't want to make any promises they can't fufil.

That's Remote Play. Cross-Play is when you play Wipeout2048 on the vita against your mom who plays on the PS3 in multiplayer, and she wins.

I don't know if the system would allow someone to play a single license on two devices simultaneously. I suppose it's possible if they were both playing on the same User ID.

When I had two PS3s running simultaneously, I don't think I ever bothered to try playing the same PSN game on both systems while logged into the same user account so I still don't know if that even works.

Yes. That gave $65 in credit and I put another $35 towards. I'm going on vacation in 2 days, so I'll go pay the other $150 when I get back (and recieve another paycheck )
