Today's Siliconera info dump:

Guest characters in Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth include "Tekken" and "Falcom" (tehe):

The director of Patapon is working on Natural Doctrine:

In other news, I'm thinking of buying Dynasty Warriors Next tomorrow.  I really enjoyed the demo.

I also tried the demos of Unit 13 & Modnation Racers.  Unit 13 was a lot of fun - I'll pick that up at some point.  Modnation wasn't great though.  It felt laggy and unresponsive and the load times sucked.

I kinda wanted to try a demo of Ridge Racer just to see what it played like, but there wasn't one.  Presumably because the game itself is a demo.

from the demo that i played it was my least fave DW ever and so I never bought it. Im waiting and hoping the west gets DW8XL on Vita.

Mod Nation Racers is just so "blah" on Vita. Definitely give it a miss.

Ridge Racer plays just like Ridge Racer 6/7. It's absolutely fantastic from a technical perspective. Shame they forgot to put a game in :( That said, the Dayona USA remix stuff is a nice novelty.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

DW Next was the best one I've played since DW4 imo. Really enjoyed it.

Designers from fate/Zero and Ufotable. and Score from Rurouni Kenshin's animate series composser? WOW! looking better that Natural Doctrine.

on the games You think to buy.. unit13 is a great choice.. a very complete game and very fun and challenin.. Only missed a vs multiplaer, but have online cooperative... MNR, is pretty good.. only missed the online multiplayer, really a shame but still a pretty good game..

Forget Ridge Racer.. I friend gifted it to me, and I bougth some DLC, and I still feel scamed by it... is just a DEMO! 5 cars 3 tracks for 30$on launch day is STUPID!, must be cheaper rigth now but stil not worth your money... if it would have been released compelte or as a free2play, would have been more interesting.. i liked the menues and the spee and control.. a true ridge racer... better than the unbounded... but namco did wrong with that buissness model...

I've been meaning to ask about that actually.  I do get that it's an absolutely horrible game in terms of the business model, but how is it as an actual title now all the DLC is released?  Does it feel complete?  Are there enough tracks?

Seeing as it can be picked up for peanuts pre-owned, and then I just need to buy the gold pass, I'm considering picking it up as long as it's mechanically sound, since I do very much like Ridge Racer as a series (or at least I did, before it went Unbounded on us).

You need both the silver and gold passes, and even then I think there's extra tracks, cars and music that's not included.

Really?  Oh, yikes.

£10 for the gold and silver passes combined.  It doesn't even tell you what tracks are in the silver pass.  Hmm.

As a side note, they need to clear up the DLC section of the Vita store.  Everything used to be in neat little folders, and now it's all just splurged at the top (all the LBP outfits and stuff).

They need to update the PSP games list too.  Sweet Fuse & some other PSP games are in the Vita section.  -_-

^^ They need to fix a lot. I can't even get to Ninja Gaiden 2. It apparently doesn't exist.

Peggle 2 incoming? lol

FUCK YOU SHAHID

Sorry, default reaction.

I went through months of thinking he was a blowhard, but I have to give it to him - he definitely delivered at Gamescom.

But now we're back to his general hints that could be literally anything under the sun (because Vita fans sure do like to request a lot of games). I'm not sure whether I love or hate this constant taunting.

Anyway, since he said "bring one of the most requested games across to Vita", I'm thinking... Type-0?

But that kind of thing seems like it's wayyyy out of his control. He's the indies guy... but then saying that, wasn't it him who managed to get Football Manager on Vita?

So yeah, I'm lost. Fuck you Shahid.
