btw the hell is 'Boss action'? Hunting?

Maybe something like Malicious where every level is a boss fight.

come on man...I was expecting a 'maybe you get to play as Kazuma/Kamiya' joke from you! :D

and on a different note: Someone who tried out the different maps of KZ Merc said that Shoreline is one of the smallest of the batch.

Whore yourself out on the street corner in the event of losing that ticket war.  Worth it, I feel.  Is that a break of embargo, a general 'I support it' claim?  I certainly hope not. even if so, it's positive reinforcement, so I doubt they'd complain.

Although I might not do it by whoring myself out, I am genuinely considering buying it regardless if I can get the money together.  I've played the beta every night for the last 3 nights, for at least a couple of hours each time.  It's fun.

And now it has an embargo-breaking glowing recommendation from you too!

man I sure hope Mighty9 comes to vita. Looks like it would be a perfect fit. Funding is going really well with around $70k over the initial goal already with 29 days to go

Keep in mind I haven't beaten it yet.  I actually really liked Dragon's Crown until the late-game twist that had you returning to every one of the levels to get gems.  That really, rEALLY ruined it for me.   That's one of the cardinal sins in gaming, to me. "Oh, you thought you were about to go fight the badass dragon boss for control of the land?  Well, no.  Now you have go search the world for a magical set of macguffin's that we made no mention of up to this point just to pad the length, and to make it even better, we're not even gonna give you new worlds, just slightly different endings to the worlds you've already grown wary of."

Gameplay was solid though, and the graphics were just....hhhhnpgh! up till that point in the story it was hovering around high 7's, low 8's. (between 7.8 and 8.3).  It's amazing what a late game stupid twist can do.  As they say, it's not about how you start, it's about how you finish.

Mighty No. 9 reached $1 million already.

Keiji Inafune's kickstarted project raised as much money as the whole budget for Dragon's Crown.

I feel like there's some link to a grassroots Vita movement that we should be pushing here.

What happened to Soul Sacrifice 2?!

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Was clearly sacrificed along with Mugen to make Megaman Origins.

Kresnik, don't give Sony ideas about moving from indie gaming to putting Vita projects on Kickstarter :p We'd have to pre buy all our games!

For anyone here that's played atelier totori on the vita, can you give me a quick description of it? and if you liked it as well.

I was gonna buy it when it was on special but my internet completely bugged out and i wasn't able to get it...

Do you need a description of only the Vita version; or a description of Atelier in general?

Rutea's probably the best person to give a reply to that, but I'll back it up a bit with my own thoughts.

It's a very cute game.  The story isn't the usual world-saving stuff - it's very small-scale and self contained.  The combat is turn-based and surprisingly decent.  Exploring the world is done through choosing locations on a map, which you can then visit and collect materials to use for alchemy.  The game runs on a set timer; so you can go to certain places at certain times to see special events.

I was very surprised how much I like the Atelier games.  They're a good change of pace from the usual JRPG's.

that's a very good point, atelier games are usually a very personal quest and more focused on getting to know the characters other than a big save the world kind of plot.

they are very lighthearted but extremely entertaining

hm.. thanks for the advice, i might get it even though it isn't on sale. Would you happen to know any popular games that are really similar to it? in like story and gameplay wise.
