You know, I 'like' killzone and particularly enjoyed Killzone 3...but man, Mercenary's beta has been a tonne of fun so far. Other than the analogs not being QUITE sensitive enough for me (can be made up for with the motion control), I love it!

I'll be reviewing it, too. Truly and honestly cannot wait. I've loved a lot of Vita games: assassin's creed, disgaea, dragon's crown (yes I loved it, I was just being harsh to be honest), Gravity Rush, LittlebigPlanet, ModNation Racers (good other than the lack of online), Persona, Ragnarok Odyssey, Resistance (I liked it! I'm in the minority on that one), Smart as, Uncharted, and Unit 13...not to mention its multiplatform games like Playstation All-Stars and Sly 4, but I think Killzone might be its first really good system seller...an FPS that's looking VERY good.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Hopefully people haven't completely lost interest in vita and will buy the system if the game is as good as it seems. However, with all the doom and gloom, I highly doubt any single game can save it apart from hugely popular games like GTA.

Sony doesn't moneyhat, they've stated plenty of times, they will support costs on exclusives but they don't buy em, it works on the home consoles but they should probably do so on vita

No-moneyhatting should be forbidden.

This is just compensating incompetence with money and this is how bastards that have zero interesst in a market (except exploiting it)enter a market and destroy or monopolize the business and ripp people off as long as the monopol exists. This is how hedgefunds work and destroy jobs and companies.

This is why EA's former extremly shitty FIFA won the Race against Konamis superior ISS/PES and the main reason why no good soccer sim is available these days and this is why EA is always losing the race as long as they don't moneyhat the exclusiv rights.(eg nba)

Moneyhatting is EA buying great companies and turning them into innovation-free-sequel-mania-drones and destroying them in the end like they did with bullfrog, westwood and many others(and bioware within 3 years)

If companies want to compete, than with their own products-you make good products=you are welcome, stay. You don't=piss off, leave the business because you are useless. There is no need for final fantasy exclusivity on ps4 or monster hunter on 3ds .It's a different story when companies are too stupid (like Nintendo not careing about gta5 for wii u ),but they should have the chance.Than people can complain at nintendo(instead of blaming the microsoft-sony-EA-activision-ubisoft-take2-square-tecmo-illuminaty-freemason-triforce-kartell trying to get nintendo out of business)

I've bought it and received the game last week, have to say I'm very surprised in a good way. I tried the game's demo and didn't liked it, but playing the full title is actually good (loved the chapter 3, I'm on chapter 5 I think).

So, yesterday you guys told me that Killzone: Mercenary was £25 on amazon. "Great", I thought, "I'm enjoying the beta so much that I'll probably pick it up for that price".

Today, hilariously, I got struck by a parking fine for exactly £25. I'm challenging it (I'd bought a ticket, it just wasn't on display properly), so this will decide if I buy the game or not.

If my challenge is accepted, I'll take the £25 I've "saved" and buy Killzone with it. If not, I'll have to wait a month until I get paid and by then I'll probably wait until KZ's price drops even further :P

where the hell have you been parking to get a 25pound parking fine? The Queens bedroom?

I think the price drop is the most significant change.  because it launched with Uncharted, PS3's arguably most loved exclusive franchise.  That or LittlebigPlanet (which also got an outstanding iteration on Vita within months).

to be honest, the only plausible explanation I can think of to explain WHY the Vita is doing poorly is price.  300 bucks for a dedicated handheld WITH an additional 50-100 for a memory card seems steep, and it is.  200 bucks with a drop in price for the memory cards might help it, but I still think that, as long as the 3DS is available for 130-180 depending on model, the general public will always see the Vita as just a more expensive handheld without Mario or Zelda on it.

It needs Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Grand Theft Auto,  Killzone, LittlebigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, a GOOD Call of Duty, and pretty much everything if it is to survive.  I figure it'll get all of the above, but it may be 'too little too late'.

yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Because in terms of games, there've been quite a few good ones released, but hardware didn't increase significantly.

It was actually a £50 fine, but £25 if I paid it within 14 days of receiving the ticket :P

Yeah, Killzone has been a lot of fun to play online. I don't particularly like FPS or playing online, but I've sunk in more than 12 hours in the game ( which is a lot for me ^^ for an online game). I don't like the map Shoreline though, so hopefully other maps are a bit more open.

Splunkey has been awesome too. I've finally reached the mummy levels. Now i just need to get the shortcut there( f**king gold key). And I decided to go all the way (inferno) in Dragon's crown using the amazon(already beat it on normal with Sorceress and half way through with Dwarf). Once Rayman releases on vita and my Legend of heroes: Sen no Kiseki import ships in a couple of weeks, I won't have enough time to study for my Cisco certification lol.
