I can live with no online.  I barely played it on the PS3 version.

The only slowdown I noticed was in the main menu and it's not that bad but theres 0 slowdown while racing. 

I will say this though if you don't have Sonic All-star Racing Transformed yet I'd buy it instead. Hands down a better all around game than Modnation.

Does it happen sometimes? There was a similar problem with Odin Sphere on PS2. More likely either a hardware issue with the game itself or the developed code for the game.

 

Do you know if the issue exists in the PS3 ver?

Odin Sphere has awful lag on big boss fights and that was definitely hardware limitations.
