Considering you said they "had so much for PS3", then you can add that same strecth of fact to Vita. They only showed 2-3 PS3 games at E3 and that's how many Vita games they announced at E3.

Are you actually being serious here with comparing Sony's showing for PS3 with what they had for vita? I mean really?

@Kresnik: I said XBone because of the 180 'and' because I think they will go the extra mile first year or two with support for the system to get the core crowd. But yeah I am more likely to go back to PC gaming before I purchase a home console again if sony keeps this up. I was a PC gamer primarily before this gen.

Nintendo, and it really sucks in a way that I don't care for their first party titles, are doing a much better job with the wiiu/3ds.

But yes I don't think I'm being unreasonable when I say I want to see some solid support from sony at gamescom. I would overlook the fact that we had maybe 1-2 exclusive titles revealed for the vita this year if they had actually revealed more last year. They managed to actually make last years E3 vita showing fantastic by comparison this year. I'm just tired to be perfectly honest. I have been very patient with them. But I have run out of it now

and don't get me wrong by solid I don't mean a new GTA/FF/MGS etc lol tho that would be nice I just want a show like last years Gamescom or maybe even a bit better. Can't be too hard to do considering their piss poor E3 showing...but if not then I think that's a clear message as to what they think of the system going forward

@Sleepyprice: Sorry pal but it's almost impossible to find those posts since I post so much lol Around E3/GC/TGS last year as well as this year I posted many times on the topic

"Still doomed. Nobody wants console games on a handheld!"

You can laugh all the way you want, but I keep hearing this argument since vita was announced.

Why should I buy a game

Gamers that don't own a

"Tecmo Koei reported a positive gain for the first quarter of this fiscal year. The publisher behind Dynasty Warriors had 6.5 billion yen in sales, up 10.9% compared to the previous fiscal year. Altogether, Tecmo Koei posted a net profit of 938 million yen ($9.6 million USD).

Toukiden, a hunting game with Japanese mythological creatures for PSP and PlayStation Vita, sold strong with 300,000 units since its launch on June 27. Toukiden will be released in North America for PlayStation Vita. Sales for Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky and Winning Post 7 2013 for PlayStation Vita were favorable. Repeat shipments and downloadable content sales were good too.

Tecmo Koei also said that they surpassed 24 million registered users for online and social games. Their line up includes Dynasty Warriors for One Million People and AKB48s Ambition – yeah thats a pun from Nobunagas Ambition."

Well, I am not working at sony or anything, but from the facts I know as a consumer Sony DOES support the Vita well enough.

Almost every good titles are cross buy. Every sony first party have worked on good titles, hd remaster, Sony made the vita support a lot of games already...

But they can not do the impossible. They're already dropping dev kits to any independant dev that is worth it and they are doing it for free. You want them to drop million for a GTA on vita ? A Kingdom hearts ? A Gran Turdismo ? That will probably happens, but I think sony won't pay for it, and if they do, that would be wrong move.

What do you want from them ? You want them to marketing the vita more ? Everyone know the vita exists and everyone know what she can do. Playstation is already the most powerfull video game brand that exists... People are not stupid. I think we should stop blaming marketing everytime something is going wrong.

Vita has almost everything it need.

Everyone and their mother keep talking about Killer apps for the vita. But there is a fact nobody speak about. This fact is everyone that own a psp have already experienced console killer app on handheld, and guess what ? The value was meh. Hence why IMO the vita ain't selling as well as the psp.

The psp hype and stuff won't work twice. And so far, it's clearly not working.

I said the value was meh because at first it was almost a dream to play ps2 quality games everywhere. But I think people realised that some games are meant to be played on a big screen with a console that can run them ideally and a real pad.

Go back and try to play racing games on psp. Shit. Go back and compare the gta psp to the gta ps2. Shit, framerate, aliasing everywhere, laggy as fuck... Go back and play peacewalker with the psp control. Shit. Go back and play pes6 on psp. Correct but still way inferior to the ps2 ver.

If it's not for Tekken, some indies titles, and maybe 4 or 5 other games. The psp experience was quite meh back in the time.

If it's not for the price and the dedicated memory card, to me there's no problem with the vita actually. She is meant to be a perfect complement to my future ps4 and already a great piece of device for itself.

The ps4 won't be backwardC. That means all the great ps2 HD collection, all the great psx titles, all the great psn titles won't be available on ps4. WICH IS A HUGE SHAME. Unless I keep my ps3 next to my ps4 and this is a clear NO.

Guess what ? There is a smaller, simplier, better solution than keeping a ps3 next to your ps4 => The Ps Vita. She can run psx titles, ps2 HD collection are available and we all know more are coming, she has some of the best psn titles in it and more of them are coming. Plus all those titles look way better on a smaller OLED screen.

To me, this is what the vita is meant for.

Dude don't you dare talk like that abot GTA VCS! It was, in terms of pure gameplay and amount of things to do, the best GTA game ever. And I've also played GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and IV and GTA Vice City Stories beats them hands down.

This is precisely why even after 180 I have very little interest in XBOne. I bought an original Xbox near launch in Europe (came out March 2002 for £299 this was approx 50% more than the US retail despite being nearly 6 months later)) by December 2005 there were no games being released for it at all because MS told all developers to focus on Xbox 360 100% instead.

Xbox 360 I actually bought on release in 2005 because I was so in love with games like Moto GP and Xbox Live's online infrastructure was way better than what the PS2 offered and Nintendo still hadn't discovered the internet. First 2-3 years were phenomenal. Lots of JRPGs, unique interesting games, MS's desire to please gamers like me was wonderful.

Then they hit it. The became popular and outsted the early PS3 efforts. What ensued? Total reliance on 3rd parties for software that wasn't 3 core franchises and Kinect. It took a 4th RROD for me to see this, as by then it was out of even the extended warranty and so I had to turn to my Blu-ray Player, also known as a PS3 for my home console gaming for a while until I could afford a replacement 360. In that time I was introduced to Infamous, Uncharted, God of War 3 and Little big planet etc.

So I got back to my Xbox 360, and scoured the internet for all the wonderful exclusives I'd missed. Alan Wake was alright, Crackdown 2 was meh after how blown away I was with the first one and that was pretty much it...

Even 3 years on I struggle to find much on the the 360 that I can't get elsewhere and at the moment, having poured hundreds, if not thousands of pounds into the 360 in the earlier years, I'm really skeptical that MS will continue to diversify their lineup past the opening couple of years for Xbox One. They seem the most happy of all the manufacturers to rely on 3rd party releases once they have the audience at a certain point.

Hopefully I'll be wrong, but that's twice now I feel MS have badly burned me as a "core" gamer. So I'll be waiting for a price drop on the XBOne before I "Jump in".

At e3? They showed Beyond, GT6, Batman: Arkham Origins, and GTA5 bundle. That's it. Everything else was Vita and PS4.

I can understand where M.U.G.E.N. is coming from but alas dont give up fellow gamer!

Buy/play games for your enjoyment and not for corporate success (that is what I have been doing - and lost interest in sales discussions and etc ;p).

Dont be like the stingy nintendo fans who want to boycott/not support EA games and other games/publishers when said games dont come out!

You who doesn't even have a Vita :p

Buy one now! Or the Gamescon presentation will be "We're done with Vita" :p

Is it that serious?

Personally, I think tales of the Vita's imminent demise are greatly exaggerated. I also think it'll get a steady flow of high quality titles. But time will tell.
