I platinumed it too, so it's technically playable, but I said it's borderline unplayable. it was a royal pain in the ass at every turn. I want to go through and get all the tropies in 2 and 3 as well, but I certainly won't be doing it on Vita.
Also, who are you or anyone else to tell me what I did or did not experience? this was very clearly sub 20FPS in certain spots, and I was constantly plagued by glitches, audio problems, and all sorts of performance issues. Seriously, not a good port at all.

It's not a good port, far from it. If you platinumed it, to come close to calling it "unplayable" is a gross over-exaggeration.
I wasn't telling you waht you did or did not experience. I said the US cartridge may well be different to the EU one I've played. However it's very hard to see a perspective where these 3 games even with the Vita ports, culminate in a 4/10 rating. Unless they were broken to a point where it was impossible to play the games, which if you've platinumed the game, clearly isn't the case.
It's clear all the negative aspects are purely technical, and ignore the actual content of the games themselves. I guess this is why these scores aren't reported on the meta sites.
Maybe ports should be reviewed like home releases of movies are, with a separate rating for the actual content of the film then the quality of the transfer and encoding onto the disc.

What is it with people trying to twist things so that everything they like gets a better review? it happened with Dead Space 3, as well. "If you felt it didn't fit your tastes you should have tried a different mode/played co op/changed the difficulty/played it different." that's no different from here, where people are picking and chosing what to be critical of so that it doesn't get a bad score. WE already had a review of the game's content seen here:
http://www.gamrreview.com/review/88819/jak-amp-daxter-collection/
That told you all you neded to know about how well the series held up against modern standards and how well they played. you already know all that shit, there's no need for me to repeat it, so I discussed mostly the changes and how well it was ported. I could only compare this to the existing game, because if I was reviewing it on its own merits (value, graphics, gameplay, etc), it'd rate higher, but since it's my job to rate it compared to it's existing version, it got a super duper shitty score, since it was a super duper shitty port. You'll notice I discussed that very issue in the very first paragraph when I mentioned the changes and additional content in Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.
This, however, was identical to the console version, save the shitty performance. I don't understand why that incites such anger in the community.
No wonder this thread is jokingly called "The Church of the Vita Cult" by some others. So slavenly devoted to all things Vita that most people can't see when your chosen path is rocky. The Jak and Daxter collection on Vita is a perfect example of developers being too lazy to give a shit about porting things to the system properly. No to mention how absolutely terrible Soul Sacrifice really was once you got past the well written story and cool spell blending/stacking mechanic.
