I've never played any of the Killzone's before...but I'm oddly interested in this one. And I'm not a shooter fan at all. Weird. Lol. Would I need any of the backstory for this one, you think?

I don't think so. I mean in this game you will be revisiting incidents that occurred in the KZ universe in KZ1 and 2. So I think you are good to go :) And the game does have differences compared to the home console versions. Have you played/seen Unit 13? This seems like a mix of that and KZ. Points based gameplay is a lot of fun on portables.

I tend to go out of my way to ignore shooters. Lol. So that's a no on Unit 13. Think last time I played something in that genre was Halo 2 at my friends house...however many years ago that was. Lol.

But I'm definitely interested in this! Being that it'll only be $40 bucks...I think I'll budge this time.

Microsoft is releasing a new console, not a handheld, and presented it the same morning. Sony needed to give the new PS4 the big spotlight of the day to really stick the knife in the competition. The direct competition. Shifting too much focus would only dampen the impact.

Fine, I get that they had no time for vita (but apparently plenty for ps3 and very, very general talk about tons of stuff, such as social media and twitter (without saying how they're gonna use it) but couldn't they name a few titles or show some content during their small clip of vita games? Sony makes no sense again. My expectations have gone to zero.
