I put a bit of time into the Book of Memories Demo. The graphics engine is very nice and there's a pretty solid feeling of Silent Hill to the audio and ambiance.
It plays a bit like a dungeon crawler/twin stick hack and slash, have encountered some bigger enemies now, the set up seems to be you are re-writing your memories? And the levels seem to focus on a specifc character from your past for each level. The demo is for a co-worker, though there seem to be several Zones for each level. Combat is square for left hand and triangle for right hand. You can have different weaponsin each hand unless it's a double handed weapon and your weapons deteriorate as you use them meaning they either need repairing or replacing.
There seems to be an entrance, exit, shop, special area and challenge orbs on each zone, and to exit the zone you need to complete all challenges to collect all the puzzle pieces to be able to solve the puzzle to open the exit and move to the next area.
If I'm honest, the premise has promise and the visuals are surprisingly nice, but from what I played on the demo, I don't see myself running out to buy the game upon release. But certainly can't justify the RRP unless there's a lot more to the game than the demo shows. I guess it depends how fun the co-op gameplay ends up being.

Two reviews from spanish sites:
http://www.3djuegos.com/juegos/analisis/12017/0/new-little-kings-story/ => 8.3
http://www.meristation.com/es/playstation-vita/new-little-kings-story/analisis-juego/1535851 => 8.5
I see that Pocketgamer have also reviewed Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz on Vita giving that a solid 8/10.

I wasn't expecting much from Monkey Ball following Sega's attempts at running the series into the ground but if this is a return to form, it may well be another game on the to buy list.

Thanks. Sounds kind of intriguing. Hopefully Dear Leader Chen will see fit to let us try it out soon, although with the Vita drought finally ending I don't know if I'll be up for buying Book of Memories any time soon. They really should have released it during the dead of summer when it had zero competition.
