"House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return" Bundle Hitting the Wii in Japan

Awhile back, it was confirmed that The House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return would indeed be making it’s way to the Wii. Now it looks like the game may even come bundled with a Wii Zapper for a mere $4 more. Sega will be providing an optional bundle for the game that will contain the Zapper for 5023 yen, or about $44. The game by itself is priced at around $40, so you’re pretty much getting a Zapper for just $4. Is it even worth the extra $4 though? From what I’ve heard form most people, it’s just easier to play all the games with the simple Wii-mote.

My apologies if this has already been posted but it looks like Nintendo may finally be offering some peripherals to try and shift some third party software, seems good that this is of a slighty adult theme and not the normal Nintendo style.

Perhaps in 08 we are going to see some diversity brought to the Wii - think i'd still play without the Zapper personally as i'm having bundles of fun with REUC at the moment.

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

I think the Zapper works great with Ghost Squad
Since both House of the Dead and Ghost Squad are published by SEGA, i think it's a good idea to get the bundle.

Virtual Cops Next?

wouldn't suprise me - Sega really hitting it off well with Nintendo at the moment as they loan them Mario and let them have a Zapper bundle as well as the Genesis being on VC.

perhaps, at some point when the storage has been sorted (and it will) we will have Master System, Genesis and Saturn available on the VC.

That bundle looks more attractive than Links Crossbow Training.

it does and it's also incentive for households to Double up and have more than one Zapper in each household.

Sega should have just pushed them all out - these, Ghost Squad and Virtual Copy with a Zap and go for broke.

Blech. House of the Dead is one of the worst rail shooter franchises ever.
