I didn't find a thread for this game yet so ended up starting a new one. So it appears that although this is 3D, the powerups are unlimited (at least the fire and Tanooki that we saw) and you reach a level end rather than star finding, and it is completely platformer oriented (from what we saw) rather than a challenge to proceed. All I can think about is Maelstrom being staired down by Myamoto with a "Problem?"

That game looks awesome!

The IGN staff who were live-blogging the Dev Roundtable seemed very impressed with what they saw. The 3D trailer available on the 3DS is also pretty impressive but a little too short to get a great sense of the overall game. Can't wait to see more.
