Forums - Nintendo - Did Nintendo Just blow it?

No i dont think so, i thought i would be more impressed with Mario 3DS, it doesnt look like you can fly with the suit. Still gonna get it because i like the Galaxy games and that is what its based off of. Luigis Mansion, loved the original and even though the sequel doesnt look like it will add much, Luigi is one of my fav characters. I dont like the Wii U name and i dont like that it kinda looks like a 360 but im loving the controller concept

No specs now and there likely won't be any for some time. Reggie did confirm the obvious 1080p HD in a post-show interview, but that's all

Oh lame...did they give a price, release date or show any good games for it?

No price, no date (no window for a date outside of 2012, anyway), no first party games aside from what might have been a Zelda tech demo and a few other tech demos currently on the show floor. A few third party multiplats with hints of more, as well as Tekken (which this Tekken didn't seem to be a multiplat)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Im not sure, maybe I don't understand it like when they announced the wii the first time.

I feel like all of e3 kind of sucked dirty balls this year.

I can fully, nearly, and almost totally DISAGREE with this assessment.  What you are left with is a HUH, and then seeing how it will pan out.  The U will be the thing that will very likely dominate the conversation until people get hands on.  I see a ton or potential here.  This is the opening salvo that will keep everyone tuned in.

On this, I will have to ask, in regards to E3: What single news item is the talk of E3 now?  Anyone else want to argue it is anything BUT the U?

considering the fact that Nintendo is attracting a crapload of media JUST FOR THE CONTROLLER, it's pretty obvious that they did well. Not that "gamers" will ever believe that

Nope Wii U has brought back core games to Nintendo and that alone is significant.

i think we wont see any 1st party games for the wii u until tgs this year and the full blown reveal on everything the system can do till e3 next year. i think this year , was a confirmation of the system and controller. i also believe they are gonna let the 3rd parties have there day in the sun with there games, then show off what there 1st party games look like, almost like what they did with the 3ds.

I hope to god this isn't a tech demo.

That looks promising IMO

I didn't see the Nintendo conference but how did the new console look?

its in the pic i guess.

Whoops I meant specs and stuff.

It's due next year(between mid to late 2012) so too early for that kind of info. We'll hear more in the Tokyo show. Plus i think they want to confirm that 3rd parties are giving their full fledged support this time round

Wow what a bunch fail responses. That WiiU thing looks dope. And there are so many things we don't even know yet.
IT'S STILL A NEW CONSOLE PEOPLE, can't you get that through your heads ?? Of course their isn't a whole lot of news regarding specs, prices, even a final design. I mean afterall....there was soooo much more info for the NGV right? A portable that is to launch this year. But all the Sonyboys are like "NVP stole the show....they actually released the price" ...but when it comes to WiiU... "what? no price?...no games?...no release date?....fail"

These haters are really getting annoying, Sony or Microsoft takes a big turd and the response would be..."wow what a great idea" There are people on here that actually rated Nintendo's show....lower then the rest ! Absolutely stupid.

I'm shocked right now at some of the people on this site !

Well they did anounce a mario party right after the conference. I'm guessing more titles will be anounced in the roundtable 'later this evening'... keep an eye open

I agree, they are bringing core GAMES to Nintendo, now I just wonder if the core GAMERS, who Nintendo has given plenty to be excited about, will actually come over, or will they find some new excuse to senselly hate on the Big N? I mean, HD? Yep. Third Party support? Yep (ARKAHM CITY YAY!!!) Expanded online support? Yep (not much on that yet, but it was mentioned a few times by both Nintendo and the EA guy). Sign me up.
