well its allegedly one to the face one to the chest...so providing he was facing them when they fired the entry wound on his face shouldnt be too bad.  it shouldnt be that gruesome at all.  which is why its all a cover for what happened in the video.

A double tap is done with a gun. 2 shots fired off super fast. Usually 1 to the chest and another to the head. It is done so fast that it only looks like the soldier tap that trigger 2 times super fast. You really can't even notice that they altered their aim.

Even a buddy from work (We work with US Gov. for AirForce Jets) who was in the ARMY said for a long time that the Gov. wouldn't want to release photos of someone who has been double tapped. Supposedly it is pretty gruesome considering the double tap resulted in a shot to the face, right above the eye.

Yes, a double tap is one shot to the chest to immobilize the target along with a second shot to the head. It's intent is to kill.

Also, depending on the gun used it is easy to picture the bullet blasting a hole in Bin Laden's face.
