Damn it.  512 MB was already gimped as hell.  I thought that the minimum woudl have been 1 GB.  Would have bought it a launch, now it seems likely that I won't buy it at all.

Not losing money (or as much money) is always a good business move in general.
They must feel this way so that they can compete with Nintendo better.
Unless Nintendo plans to cut the 3DS price once NGP comes out, which in my opninion, will be a great business move by Nintendo.

I think that's a smart move. Sony definitely don't want another pricing debacle. My chance of buying a NGP goes up.

Why would you think that?   Why would I buy outdated tech?  Its just annoying.  I bought a launch PSP.  I like the NGP but given other options, and especially given probable cell phone like evolution in the tablet space, why settle for such limitations?

The PS3 only has 256mb of ram and 256mb of Vram. >_< You got to be crazy to think a handheld would have 1gb of ram.
