Forums - Gaming - Quinton Flynn completely left in the dark on progress of Metal Gear: Rising

Raiden voice actor Quinton Flynn has “no idea” about the progress of Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which stars Raiden. In fact, he hasn’t been contacted at all about the project.

“I am completely in the dark,” Flynn told TheGamingLiberty. “I have no answers. I have no idea. I have not been approached in any way, shape, or form. There has been no communication. There’s been no information and I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve tried to make efforts to find out what’s happening and have not been able to get any answers at all.”

Pressed further, Flynn said: “As I say, I have not heard a thing. I mean, I’ve heard that they are in production. So if they’re in production and I’m not there then there is a good chance that someone else is in my place. Unless, they are recording everyone else and everything else but me.”

But according to Flynn, leaving the star character until the last minute is “insane.” More so, it’s “unlikely and probably impossible.”

E3 is next month. If there’s any place to see a potential unveiling, it’s at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Stay tuned.

2 things:

- they have eitherd got a new VA and havent tol d him..which is fucked up

- or the developed of thisgame is in trouble and thay...especailly if it was to be released this year.

I think its coming in 2012, and not this year. which might explain it. if there going for similtaneous release like MGS4 then they will localise pretty quickly.

You can't switch the voice actors of these actors. It would just kill it.

Quinton Flynn not voicing Raiden is like David Hayter not voicing Solid Snake. Yes, I think he's as crucial to Raiden as a character as David Hayter is to Snake. Think about that for a minute.

Lets all hope this will mean that the game doesn't have 10+ hours of cutscenes..... >_>

It won't be a last minute thing, they are just making the game at the moment, voice acting can come later.

You dont have to hope, its already been confimed that MGR will use a less cut scence heavy stance for telling its story.

but what did that have to do with quinton flynn possibly been left out his role as Raiden?

less cutscenes = less need of Quinton Flynn speaking a gazillion lines...

It's not Raiden without Flynn...

stupid...they said 2012 release date...so if this mean it will release November 2012 why should he recording now?but the strange thing is that nobody told him...i mean what is the problem to do one phone call or send one e-mail telling him that he will record his Voice in 2012?
