Seriously? With no handle grips or with nubs instead of sticks?

^^^ i dont think its terrible like people are saying, looks like a tablet to me, it could be smaller, have actual sticks a little tweaking and this thing could end up being good. 

I agree it's the worst idea so far, unless that screen were also a touchscreen, then it could be made reasonably serviceable.

Well, the main idea of the screen taking precedence in the center like this is what I've heard rumored; similar to a mini tablet, but with better grips directly on the sides (and obviously better sticks, etc) and is about the only way it would make sense size-wise.

Whereas something like this early IGN mock-up would be terrible, as it would make it far too big:

The screen being touch is what I'm guessing, and with the proper adjustments to the rest of the design, could make it much more serviceable and appealing than what you might think at first glance.

Still, it's all just rumors and speculation at this point.  Personally, E3 can't come soon enough for me.

let me make sure i am reading this correctly, nintendo is planning to put a screen in a controller for a home console?  i think nintendos ego is getting too big after the success and innovation of the wii after two, not failed, but disappointing consoles.

This is what i am expecting for Nintendo to show. If there really is a 6 inch screen on the remote, than this seems to be the most reasonable design. I don`t think the button layout will be exactly that way, but who knows...

This would be a good way to attract those who think normal console controllers are too complex and those who are already used to tablets.

I`ll start a new rumor, by the way: the remote also has gyroscope technology! :D - A good way for casual/tablet users to easily get in to the controller

I could care less about the controller, but I will definitey be buying the console
