It is the PS1 with a huge gap between , the PS1 was one of the greatest JRPG Console ever and it also had so many cool Horror Games , Jump and Runs and Action Adventures Grandia, Final Fantasy 7-9, Metal Gear Solid, Breath of Fire 3-4, Resident Evil 1-3, Sulent Hill, Crash Bandicoot, Ape Escape. God, all the Great IPs I love till now had it best Time or even there origin on the PS1! The PS3 is only a piece of Shit compared to the PS1 Line Up. The PS2 was also a great Console many cool JRPGs, Jump and Runs and Horror Games, i love the PS2. God why oh why has the PS3 to be such a piece of Shit with only Shooter Games? I loved to have today a Playstation Console wich is as great as the PS1 was but we only get the PS3 with its endless list of Shooter Games  ............

Shooters are where the money is right now, sadly. I enjoy shooters, but I agree that there are too many out there and I don't like most of them.

But with Call of Duty making multiplatinum sellers regularly, the choice for developers is obvious.

No PSP faves?

God am I the only one? I think the psp is by far my favourite electronic device ever. When I was in the army it was the only thing keeping me from going crazy.

I've played Yu-gi-oh Tag duel 2 and 3 hundres of hours. And I never got bored. I could listen music and watch movies before going to bed.

Though I've played many psp games nothing comes close to the awsomeness of Tactics Ogre. But the best feauture is that you can turn it off and then start where you left off. So whenever there was inspection I could turn it off and not care about my progress. Even now, when I'm in my flat, I have to turn on my ps3, wait a few seconds, then find the game, then wait some more and when I have little time I can't play games like God of war on ps3, but I can on psp. I can't think of anything better to be honest.

Vivendi owned a part of ND, no? In order for Sony to pick up ND they had to sell of the Crash IP. So if Sony had left ND alone then it would possibly have kept a nice level of quality

The almighty and ubiquitous, PLAYSTATION 2. There isn't a single console that truly can challenge it, as of now. The PS3 is approaching it in giant leaps however ;)

P.S: If I start listing worthy games, I'll be stuck here 'till morning. Or at least until My laptop loses power :)

I never said Universal owned ND.  Sony was the publisher, Universal was the owner of the licence and ND was the studio  handling  crash, Sony bought ND who weren't interested in Crash any more and Sony wasn't interested in publishing  a non ND Crash so Universal sold it to konami who sold it and so we wait on Activision.

My vote goes to the origional Playstation. Which is kind of funny, cause when I first got it I hated it because of load times, but game after awesome game i played on it; I could not deny content is King!

From a technical standpoint it is inferior in every aspect to the other Sony platforms, but the PS1 game library is the number one of all time so I had no choice. I am hoping the PSP2 surpases it, which is unlikely but it would be cool :D

I'm going to start asking for links soon... Where did Konami come in? ND sold it to Vivendi who was then absorbed into Activision. And my point remains, if Sony had left ND alone they could have potentially continued the IP on the PS2/Xbox with the same quality. And that's one of the reasons why I like the PS1 above the other two

Edit: Universal only published it in Europe because VU didn't have a European branch, and same for Konami in Japan
