All thats being noticed with the 3DS launch, is the effect of releasing a new piece of hardware without a piece of system selling software along side it.

I live in the UK, and I always find that calling people "black" is frowned upon. You are what you are in the end. And I see what you mean, people can be so overprotective that they end up being racist themselves.

I hate the term "coloured" aswell, I would actually find that very offensive.

Well, imo I think you guys are both wrong. The next pokemon games will be based of Astronomical phenomenoms, Pokemon Comet and Meteor I believe. It sounds cool.

And 15 more days till E3 you guys :) oh GOSH the 3DS and Cafe are gonna kill the competition I believe. Then Sony with the NGP and PS3 will come in second place.

Meh, the 3DS will struggle to sell for the next few years, Nintendo failed to show that the 3DS is a next generation console and it has (and will have) next to no games.

Cafe on the other hand could be very successful, depending on how Nintendo play their cards. Personally I don't want Cafe to take off, they are starting this generation prematurely and it will just make things a mess for the consumer and SONY / MS aswell.

The PS3 has this year and next year locked down because of the innevitable price cut and the stunning line-up of games. NGP could be fairly successful but it seems like SONY are just trying to make a portable PS3, which I don't want, especially if it will cost a fortune.

really?  well thats your opinion yes but Nintendo thinks its about time, well next year I mean. Or maybe Nintendo should sit there and wait till Sony is done with PS4 before they launch Cafe . . .

There are more confirmed games that I want to play on the NGP than on the 3DS, and the NGP hasn't even had any exposure at E3 yet. The only incentive for me to buy a 3DS is for remakes and backwards compatibility with the DS.

And I think Nintendo could remain competitive for another year, Nintendo could end up being half a generation behind so you don't have any clear divides where a generation ends and a new one begins, it will just be SONY / MS and Nintendo falling somewhere inbetween.

They could unveil it now and hold off the launch date, but the hype would die down.

Oh okay thats fine. So basically your preference lies with the NGP. Most of those NGP games can be found on PS3 so honestly I haven't found anything that makes it stand out too much. Also you say you want NGP more but if it comes out at a price range $350 will that make a difference?

As far as Cafe goes, when it launches is when the next gen of consoles begins (assuming it"ll launch first). I'm hoping the graphics quality is a whole leap ahead of PS3 which is possible but most people would say thats wishful thinking. Hype would die down yes but oh well, Nintendo pretty much has no choice but to show it off now with all the hype they've created . . .

You could say it's my preference yes, but it is most other hardcore gamers preferences aswell...unless you know a hardcore gamer who likes Nintendogs and Pilotwings, which would be very wierd.

And if the NGP launched at a price point of $350 (probably £250...same as the 3DS) then yes I wouldn't buy it, I will not buy portable games consoles for that price because they basically aren't worth it. I will pick the 3DS up when it has more games and it reaches a price point of £150, I was going to pick up a DS anyway, may aswell pay a few quid extra for some current gen games.

Same for the NGP, it already has a few games to brag about, but unless it is £150 I will not buy it, unless a killer game comes out for it, like an MGS4 remake or something.

I don't think Cafe will be significantly more powerful, there hasn't been a big enough advancement in technology yet, and this is Nintendo we are talking about here, why would they want to put state of the art hardware into Cafe. I don't really know what I want in the future, I might just retire completely from modern gaming and go back to my classic consoles, which is exactly what I did in 2002 and 2006, I enjoyed gaming more back then.
