Forums - Microsoft - EA ripping us off one more time

He's right, it is a rip off.

And: No comic can compensate the loss off the atmosphere of the great Mass Effect

Yeah, I do agree it's a rip-off for a comic. I think anything on XBLA is usually highly priced to begin with. You're most likely not going to find support on this site. I personally believe there is still a lot of resentment for it being on Xbox 360 before PS3 for some time now.... Just look at the comments ;)

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

When you can get a used copy of ME1 for less than a fiver on ebay 340MSP is pretty steep.

can't complain.. games should be like 100 dollars for companies to get a good RIO... ripping us of with DLC is fine with me.. it's better then expensive games..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Well EA gave me dead space extraction for free and medal of honour frontline for free and that comic for free, so if your gonna have a go that people should of bought a 360 in the 3 years ME1 has been out just so that they can feel ripped of about a comic for a game theyve already played and have no interest in, maybe you should have bought a PS3 in the 4 years its been out then you wouldnt feel so aggreived by EA, i personally think EA are really nice chaps that give me lots of not just free content but free full games.

I dunno how many of you are aware, but this week EA and BioWare released the formerly PS3 exclusive interactive comic for Mass Effect 2 that allows you to make Mass Effect 1 decisions without even playing the game. Of course, did we get this in a free update? Of course not! It's up on the marketplace right now for 320 Microsoft Points ($4)! Are you guys freaking kidding me? 4 bucks for a little thing at the beginning of the game that I'll only use if I don't wanna play Mass Effect 1 again? Sounds like a deal to me!

Of course, I'll bet someone will come into this thread and tell me "if you don't want it, you don't have to buy it!" That's great, but it's a ripoff even if I did want it. Why should we pay for something that others got for free? Am I the only one grossly offended by this? I'd rather buy horse armor than waste my money on this!

It technically wasn't free to PS3 users. With Mass Effect 2 released a year later on the platform than the Xbox 360, they had to put extra content in to try and justify the standard price. This would be the comic, the Lair of the Shadown Broker DLC, Overlord amongst others.

Also, in the UK, the comic translates at about £2.70 which seems rather fair.

I don't think Microsoft allows for DLC to be released for free.

Apparently, you don't know how much a comic book costs these days--even the virtual comics available for smart devices and the PSP.

I'm not gonna buy it simply because I don't want to screw up my story that I've been building since 2007 and I just don't see the benefit of the comic.  Still, in the grand scheme of things, it ain't that big of a deal.  PS3 users also got all of the other ME2 DLC for free.  I don't care.

Yeah they do--and plenty of it for plenty of different games.  Check out this list that I just Googled: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=295175

Guess I shouldn't be surprised asking on this board ignoring a clear ripoff situation when their favorite console doesn't get a game until a year later. Instead all I get is "Waah! we didn't get our Mass Effect 2 until a year after you! Waah!" and more proof that I need to find another forum to frequent because unless it involves Sony or the PS3 on this website, nobody gives a flying crap.

EDIT: I'd like a mod to lock this ASAP. I'm done with this thread.

Dude even the X360 owners think you are looking WAY to into this. As some have said some people may have only played Mass Effect 2 or may just want to get that comic to check it out. They are not ripping off X360 owners with this because many of us don`t even want it/need it. Its meant for those that want an easy way to do a storyline in Mass Effect 2 using MassEffect choices without the need to actually play the original.  Let those who haven`t played all the way through Mass Effect decide whether this is value or not.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
