Did you know that if the PS3 sells at an average of 100,000 consoles per week forever, 200 consoles breaking each weak is a 0.2% failure rate? That's actually quite excellent.

That's Helarious, first time I have been called a troll. Honestly you couldn't be more wrong. I am by far the biggest Sony Fanboy ever so why the hell would I troll anything Sony related. I saw this on a website and thought people would want to read it. It's not like I made it up.

Rockstar has retracted its accusation that firmware 3.61 causes PS3 versions of L.A. Noire to crash and freeze due to the console overheating.

Sony last night condemned Rockstar's claim as "rumour" and "speculation". Rockstar has removed the offending post from its website.

Rockstar's support FAQ has been updated to offer routine troubleshooting steps for L.A. Noire owners experience problems on both PS3 and Xbox 360. There's no mention of PS3 firmware 3.61.

All hardware breaks.  That does not mean it is bad.

My NES still works....(and so does my Atari)

I was playing LA Noire for about 6 hours yesterday on my launch 60 GB.  Didn't encounter any issues.

only 1 of my 3 NESs still work.  my atari died like 20 years ago.

Sony is so used to having Playstation problems this year another should be a walk in the park.

Lawsuits, impounding of PS3s, hacking, PSN offline and now an alledged bad update.

Expect a lot more of this as it is always fun to kick a man (or company) when he is down so everything they do in the near future will be picked apart for a negative twist.... not saying Sony don't deserve it BTW.

my 80gb died the day after update ? anybody else have that problem i just want to see if its an issue with the update or just bad luck

just seems like a console should last longer than 3 1/2 yrs, my old xbox is still working!
