Rockstar are reporting that the latest firmware 3.61 is causing older consoles to overheat and shutdown.

"We have received some reports of PS3s overheating while playing L.A. Noire or beeping three times before shutting down/turning themselves off, mostly on older 60GB and 80GB fat models"

EDIT- Rockstar has retracted its accusation that firmware 3.61 causes PS3 versions of L.A. Noire to crash and freeze due to the console overheating. LINK

It isn't FW 3.61, it might be L.A Noire though -- the game is a bit buggy / unstable and their is a patch coming to address some of these issues.

That's Helarious, first time I have been called a troll. Honestly you couldn't be more wrong. I am by far the biggest Sony Fanboy ever so why the hell would I troll anything Sony related. I saw this on a website and thought people would want to read it. It's not like I made it up.
