...and it is not a PS3.

Am I crazy or just plain stupid?

Reason: It is a home cinema system that cost USD 100 less than the cheapest PS3. It has sound and limited internet access. Plus it looks so much sexier.

What did you specifically, buy BTW?

Samsung HT-C5200 Home Cinema Systems.

I know it is the cheap version and everyone will be like: bad sound etc., but for me it is absolutely fine, as I am not an audiophile.

I got it for €220 instead of €500 (original price point). It includes everything I need in a very compact format.

Pretty sure instant stream is just available for USA/Canada.  I did about 30 secs of research and there are ways around it.  I looked at

http://techcrunch.com/2008/01/06/accessing-hulu-pandora-and-other-sites-from-outside-of-the-united-states/

site and it explains a little.   However, it seems in the user comments section that a ton of users share even more websites that you could use to work around the issue.  Pretty much for instant stream you have to mask your IP to look like USA IP address for it to work.

Yeah, ,Netflix is America only. Each country in Europe has their own streaming websites some for their respective networks. I think the equivalent to Netflix in Europe is LoveFilm (just saw on the website is also in Germany). There is also Voddler for the Scandinavian countries.

It seems your player has DLNA and apps, so there could be some German apps to stream media like ZDF or RTL. Have fun with DLNA, it's a great way to stream your own media. If you need help with that, just give a shout.
