Then grab one of these...if you're going to pirate, don't use an excuse like that.

This mode of action seems fine to me. Pirates then just shouldn't download the update at the time of release...just wait until a modified one is released.

Someone else posted one in another thread when I made similar comments, but If I'm gonna spend extra to account for multiple games I'm gonna go with the best option which is a flashcart, I do not need carry anything extra doing that, I don't get why Nintendo ditched the cases they used for 15 years or so.

I use a flashcart for regular DS to hold most of my games. I've never put a game on it I didn't own a legit copy of.

What cases are you referring to? Did you guys get cases with GBA and Gameboy games? From what I recall in NA we only got the games nestled in a cardboard box.

To be clear, every online connected service ever reserves these same rights. Sony and Microsoft can (and have in the past) brick your devices. Facebook owns everything you ever type or upload, as well as your browsing data. Steam, Battle.net, Gamespy, EA can all remove access to your purchased content at any time for any reason.

Oh and of course, lest we not forget, Apple reserves the right to brick your iPhones.

...and similar for GBA.

Ironically, my R4 cart for DS came with such a case...

Hmm, I don't recall having those cases here, at least not included with the game (separately yes) although now that I think about it, my Game Gear did come with a couple of cases.

I'm all for it. I loathe hacking. Wish they would actually follow through with it, but doubt they will.

good idea, the only problem is that hackers probably will never update their 3DS, or if, only with a modified firmware.

Also, the scene is gets aware of such updates fastly.

How is this a good idea to brick consoles you buy?  It starts with this and next thing you know they will brick your computer for that copyrighted video or tv show you watched on youtube or that mp3 you downloaded...

Oh whats that...you use adblock, well lets brick your computer for that aswell.

I thought we already went over this 3DS brickability when it first released?

Also, Nintendo has never bricked anyone's console even if they can do it.

They can, but they never will
