(i hate to do this but) wht if there is no God or high power? how would you define Sin then?

What do you hate to do?
You should ask someone who doesn`t believe. I don`t know for sure, but i think sins only exist on the realm of religions, so, in a sense, it doesn`t make a lot of sense to forget one thing and keep the other.

Well, God created man. And seeing he was lonely, God created woman and so they shall become one flesh. Also that serves for the institution of marriage by God Himself.
That`s why anything beyond that view is seen as a sin.

You can't judge about homosexuality, that's up to God. God is the judge of all, therefore you cannot know if homosexuality is wrong or not. Agreed or not?

Just because we say that this is right and that is wrong, doesn`t mean we are making moral judgments, per se. Given the quote above we do believe that the act of homosexuality is a sin and that`s what we believe. There might more reasons to consider it a sin, but that`s what i know or can remember.

Then how would you define "sin"? I'd say it's a violation of a moral law.

A sin is something that goes against God and that means what He is and what He says.

Then let God decide about homosexuals. Disapproving homesexuality by denying them rights heterosexuals do have is playing God. If there's one thing you christians shouldn't do, is acting like you're God.

agreed.

the republican party acts so self righteous (although you said nothing about the republican party)and thats one reason i couldn't be one.

there is only one God and the faithful should not forget that.

If we did what you ask we would forsake God one way or another. If there`s one thing God wants is for His words to be known.

So you're choosing which religious rules to act on for your own benefit. You can't live by christian moral law anyway so why torture yourself?

I really don't want to get dragged into this, but I must point out that He has already decided on this.

Please clarify.

i didn't want to put that up there. tha is blindly following something you've only heard but not seen. u may argue that you have seen the proof of gods rath but how do you know that was it? could have been a freak accident or something perfectly logical.

(i'll skip to the end). when it all comes to a head/the end we will all know if god was reall or if life is just a course of action. just wanted you to take 1 second and forget about religion and think. if there was no religion then man would be self-righteous and deictate law by his means wether right o wrong.

Calls homosexuality an abomination in the Book of Leviticus.  I may be misinterpretting what I've bolded, since I only saw that post and decided to answer.

God didn't write the Book of Leviticus.

For my benefit? I don`t see how. So to you it`s all or nothing. It`s your view of life not mine.

The reason i asked was because i knew where you were going.
Second, i`m not going for a debate like that, but the day will come when you will have faith and then you`ll understand it.

Aren't you aware that another name for the Bible is "God's Word"?  From the theological aspect, he spoke through different people in time which gives us the collection of books we have now.

Exactly. God spoke to different people and those people wrote their interpretations down. Then some stories were cut, some were added and others were altered. You can't expect man to flawlessly write down God's word. That's why man can't be the judge, only God can.
