Though I can't speak for anyone else, I take exception to these types of comments. Why must any expression of discontent or frustration be an act of malice toward some company?

This shortsightedness has become far too frequent since this whole fiasco had started.

Cause usually its the same exact people going on and on about the same thing.  Usually with nothing but conjecture to back it up.  Then the countless threads about the same topics.  It just gets old after awhile.

Granted I haven't been stalking rocketpig's posts, so I don't really know how he was this whole time, so apologies if he is sincere.  However, his few posts in this one thread about buying a 360 now just makes it seem he has ulterior motives.  Especially when its concerning a simple issue that happens to a lot of sites that are hit with high traffic.

Do it via email. I remember you saying that you purchased more than one PS3 and it's highly likely that you didn't create your account on your current PS3. Therefore, you have to make the password change with email.

"Instantly", like an hour? Now the site is under maintenance...

Sony has screwed up every step of this PSN outage. But hey, I guess I should just shut up about it because complaining about a company's screw-ups is apparently the wrong thing to do... God forbid we call out companies and try to force change upon them.

Maybe if everyone had just shut up in 2007, Microsoft could have saved themselves a billion dollars fixing 360s.

Then perhaps not making that assumption would be the tactful approach, especially if it is not one of the usual people. rocketpig's a reasonable, thoughtful poster and I'm sure most would attest to that.

It's just the direction of discourse taken around here as soon as someone voices concern - sincere or not - is so dismissive and quick, never given consideration or empathy and always met with doubt and suspicion.

It's just frustrating when you, already being frustrated, are met with an immediate attempt to illegitimize your concern.

Anyhow, enough seriousness. I just wanna be able to sign back up on my new PS3 to watch some Netflix.
