I guess it's supposed to take a while to receive it. How long did it take you guys to receive the email? (for those that had to change the password that way of course) |
No email... just asked to change password.

They didn't send me an e-mail, I did it all through the PS3. |
They didn't send me an e-mail when I changed the password in my fake US account, it only asked me to input the new password twice... but when I did it in my real account from Argentina, it said an email had been sent to my email address and that I had to change my password on PC.
I guess I'll just have to wait until I receive the email =P

Did you make the Argentina account on the PS3 you are using right now? If you made it on another PS3 you need to use e-mail.

The email issue is just for accounts that never downloaded content.
"If using a PS3, your password can only be changed on your own PS3 (or a PS3 on which your PSN account was activated), as an added layer of security. If you have never downloaded any content using your account on the system, an email will be sent to the registered sign-in ID (email address) associated with your account when you first attempt to sign-in to PSN. This e-mail will contain a link that will enable you to change your password. In this email, click on the link and follow the instructions to change your password. Once you have changed your password you can sign-in to your account using your new password."

Ah, I see... yeah, I created the account on the PS3 I'm using right now (it's the only PS3 I've ever had :P). The problem seems to be what Ethomaz said... I never downloaded anything with that account (There's no PS Store in Argentina, lol).
It's just that I'm not getting that Email even though it says they sent it... I'll try doing this:
If the screen for entering a new password is not displayed after step 3, your PlayStation 3 system has never been activated on PlayStation Network using your account. In this case, an email message will be sent to your registered email address. Follow the instructions in the email message to access a website and change your password.
If you have forgotten your password
If you have forgotten your password, you will need to change it from the PlayStation Network website. Follow the instructions shown below.
1. Select [Sign In] under PlayStation®Network on the XMB Menu.
2. Select [Forgot your password?] on the sign-in screen.
3. Enter your sign-in ID (email address) and your date of birth, and then select [Continue].
Ensure that you can receive messages at this email address.
4. Check that your email address is correct, and then select [Confirm].
An email message will be sent to your registered email address. Follow the instructions in the email message to change your password. When you have changed your password, you will be able to sign in to PlayStation Network.
